tiby2979 175
Must have been disappointing for him having not scored. Probably he wished it.I wish him luck in his future, but i hope our paths not cross again anymore. Costa19 and pHaRaOn
Rambo 1,729
We handled it perfectly, I thought. No lionising, no Super Frank ( ) chants, no boos (important - image wise) ... just muted, polite applause to remind him that even though he may have forgotten and disregarded the last 13 years in favour of lies and deceit, we haven't. We'll give you your recognition as a returning hero, albeit a returning hero who will never be seen the same way again. The real kicker for him though must be the loud cheers reserved for Didier - a real, bona fide icon. There were definitely a few boos around the stadium, especially whenever he touched the ball. Yes there definitely were although a bloke who had been sitting less than 15 yards away from me swore he never heard any.
Popular Post! CHOULO19 24,332 Posted January 31, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted January 31, 2015 I thought the fans at the Bridge had the perfect reaction today. General polite applause for him but kept the focus on the team. A few trying to start "super Frank" chants were quickly drowned out by "Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea" cheers when he came on. That was brilliant by our fans.Frank looked a bit disappointed talking about after the match, seemed he imagined he'd get more. Does he genuinely not realize that he has damaged his image and status with the Chelsea fans? Surely he's too smart not to know. Popular Post! LDN Blue 7,903 Posted February 1, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted February 1, 2015 Lmao is it weird that I simply didn't care when he came on? Felt no hatred, no admiration, nothing. He was just another City player to me. Maybe in the future when things have passed and if he should come back in a managerial/coaching capacity... I don't think it'll matter. In the meantime, I'm beyond caring now. Which is a shame in itself after all he did for us.. manpe 10,861
People are saying there were no boos? Then I must have some kind of hearing impairment because I definitely heard a mix of booing and clapping when he came on. And I also heard faint boos every time he touched the ball at first. Felt a bit sorry for him though because it's quite obvious Pellegrino used him just to piss us off which it didn't work. BlueLion. 21,491
He got the mixed reaction he deserved. Plenty of respect but also a few voices of discontent, which I think sums it up perfectly. He's still a legend, but we're not happy about what's happened. Hopefully that's the last we see of him in a City shirt in regards to Chelsea. I'm glad yesterday has come and gone, I was dreading what may have happened. Let's just move on and forget he ever played for them. kellzfresh, Fernando and kc_blue
