I don't know about drinkwater wether it is true or not but signing a 30 years old  cm player mean we will have the same problem next season. He will have less problem in Italy since the pace is slower there.

I don't get the age thing. Vidal is the same age and I didn't see many around here against that move when we were linked with him earlier. 30 year old could potentially be in their prime and have at least 2-3 at the same level.

He turned down Newcastle as he wants to move to Spain...would have been a nice backup option.
