There is just not enough stupid, unreasonably optimistic, desperate or delusional football directors  for your wish to come true. 
HE is Kepa II.  No different signing than Torres. Unless Broja somehow shines.  Regardless, consenquences of this deal will hunt us for years to come. We will miss those millions, especially with the state of the squad today. 

lukaku is not made for big match,,we always know that. if he can score,,that would be magic that only happen once in every 100 years...lol

Our 12 major signings since Conte and Emenalo left and we took different direction:
Jorginho - officially best player in Europe, possible Ballon d Or winner
Kepa - even if this is the worst deal ever, does not change the fact that the board is doing great job. 10 great buys and 2 bad is great record for example, and he had great first season with Sarri, just got us 5m in SC, still not giving up on him. Only negative people would focus on Kepa from this list
Kovacic - won POTY, great player to have
Pulisic - in big period of first season he made us forget Hazard, was amazing and only not enough minutes stopped him to win POTY, best is yet to come
Ziyech - some critics were over the top, give him time, very promising pre season and Super Cup, unique player for us, happy to have him
Werner - played big contribution last season, needs to be more clinical, give him time
Chilwell - very solid player, did not see much complains, in the long run we will be happy with him
Havertz - what a player for the future, like signing Ronaldo in 2003, thrilled he is with us, would not swap him one on one for any player in universe 
Mendy - best GK in Europe officially 
Silva - for free amazing deal, and leader we needed
Lukaku - needs to be seen but very promising
Saul - same as Lukaku and cheap buy option
We have to give credit to Marina and the board for doing amazing job. And add to that all the sales we pull like Hazard with one year left on contract, we got money back for Morata... Great sales this summer as well...
And we introduced so many academy products like James, Chalobah, Mount, CHO, Gilmour... Got great money for Abraham, Tomori, Guehi... We have Gallagher who is very exciting player...
And we won 3 major European trophies in this period, now is time to conquer PL and become World Champions.
Most exciting time to be a Chelsea fan and nothing would be possible without Roman, Marina and some others.

Bar a Leno save from Lukaku and Havertz mistiming his jump from another good cross, could have easily got 3 assists today with better finishing/luck…… So for a bad game by sounds of reactions on here, 1 assist on top of considering that most days he probably would of gotten at least one more (Leno save top drawer tbf) and perhaps a third, not bad…

Well the ball for Lukaku was good awareness and should have been another assist, however Leno made a great save.

Seems to me that Arsenal doing something similar to what we did in 17/18 with Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Zappacosta & co. Basically buying 5-6 players that aren’t exactly top class and hoping they’ll step up. It’s a very dangerous strategy....

Supposedly Romano's report was for Lukaku's net wage (12m€/y) so the gross salary before taxes would be somewhere above 300K/wk. But reports on wages are most of the times unreliable because we don't know how much of it is tied to performance bonuses (both personal and team success) and some reports are net, some are gross etc.
Either way I wouldn't be surprised if Lukaku was the club's top earner now, because he signed the contract at his prime age (28) and moved for a club record fee so if he got an average wage then him and his agent have done a bad job. If I had to guess his basic wage should be around £300K/wk (similar to Kante's wage) and possibly some bonuses taking it higher if he's a big success. That kind of salary doesn't totally break the club's wage hierarchy and if he bangs in 35 goals a season and gets some 100K/wk more with bonuses added up I doubt anyone really cares because it would most likely mean the team have had big success on the pitch as well. 

i thought he get basic salary €12m/year or €230k/week from Romano's tweet. even after performance bonus,,no way he get over 300k/week....

this prime alonso can compete in Seri A until 2-3 years later,,inter really mess with their chance to sign him....
