manpe 10,861
But we can buy the rights no?I'm not aware of that, I suppose we could. But I think the club will opt for a sponsor's name, since it will compensate some of the building costs.. something with Samsung seems most likely. warnie_666 1,081
^^ OMG, i am jizzing at the Nelson column idea thing. It would be so epic having that lighting light up the statues of Osgood Zola Terry and Lampard on top of the columns. DAMN that will be so intimidating with them all looking smack in the middle of the pitch. This is our house. lol. Best stadium ever. As nice as Allianz looks, every new stadium under the sun looks like that or simillar this will distinguish us and be the most epic stadium ever. That is just stupid. Every decade or two we will have new legends. What then?Instead we should have the statue of the Blue Lion Holding the Staff (like the one from the crest) on all the four Chimneys. It may also be interpreted as the "Blue Lions Den" Manuf
BlueLion. 21,491
Im not against it I just think that justin is being very disrespectful because he is in essence saying that we should just tear Stamford Bridge up as soon as possible and show no respect for our pastTotally agree. Chelsea and Stamford Bridge are synonymous, like Liverpool and Anfield.
Strike 7,492
Stamford Bridge maybe small but it is just beautiful. Just freakin beautiful and Battersea will never be as good as SB for me
warnie_666 1,081
It would only be deemed successful if this mean ticket prices fall and we can fill the bloody thing. No point in having a massive 15,000 seat tier if the majority of those seats are empty. Of course initially it won't matter since everyone will spend whatever to be there first time, but after it will become a problem. Look at the Emirates, their ticket prices are extortionate and have an awful atmosphere because of it.Its a business common sense to lower ticket prices with more seats. 10 seats at 5 dollars = 50 dollars in revenue20 seats at 3.5 dollars = 70 dollars in revenueTherefore with the new stadium, the supporters will be happy as ticket prices would be lowered and the club will gain more revenue from it. Everyones happy.
Spike 12,049
Instead of building a new stadium the FA should just give us Wembley. What shits me about the new stadium is that Ossie is buried at Stamford.

RamiCFC9 258
Well Chelsea and SB might be synonymous, but stadium with such low capacity is also synonymous to mid-table.We need new stadium asap. And CPO's should definately stop bitching around and think about the club not themselves. BlueLyon 9,359
If the stadium will look "traditional" with something iconic (the chimneys) and will look nice (brick materials and glass), the pitch must be very close to people (like SB) and overall look will not be similar to mosque, factory or sth, but STADIUM in classic way, I Am for it, other way I prefer SB. But the board should realy try to expand SB somehow (buy land around,...), dreams...

yum 15
What protection does Battersea Power Station have because it is a listed building? Are there certain parts that can't be torn down or touched?
