communicate 2,703
I'm sure they would rather be challenging for a cup, than having one less game.Probably yes but I prefer them to go deep in fa cup.

Hutcho 8,443
Say we get to the semi-final. That means pushing back the Spurs home game to possibly after an away trip to Liverpool, or after a home game to Swansea or maybe even to before or after games against Man United (away), Aston Villa (fighting for survival) or Everton (pushing for top four possibly). That's if we don't progress in the Europa League, and today demonstrated that we simply can't rest Mata who already looks like he's ready for flip-flops and a beach. So what do you suggest? Purposely getting knocked out of the europa and Fa cup to hope we can increase our chances of getting top 4?
Leif 6,006
We're not that shit after all. Liverpool could lose. Tottenham lost against a team we thrashed. Still doing well in the PL. Not bad. Hutcho and xPetrCechx
The only place to be 11,313
So what do you suggest? Purposely getting knocked out of the europa and Fa cup to hope we can increase our chances of getting top 4?Putting out the reserves. Saville, Feruz, Lalkovic, Swifty, Marin, Ferreira, Bertrand etc.Having seen the performance today, could it be much worse? Rmpr

Saville, Feruz, Lalkovic, Swifty, Marin, Ferreira, Bertrand etc.Having seen the performance today, could it be much worse?I think today was an exception to the rule, but i agree, we should play more reserves than we do in the early rounds if the opposition permits it. But when we get harder opposition in the quarters and semi's we should be playing our best team to try and win the FA cup... dave30
Rmpr 8,977
We must put the reserves on the FA Cup and stop panicking in the middle of it.Mata will never rest if he is going to extinguish the fire everytime....

Pizy 18,903
Newcastle looking great, albeit against an absolutely dire Villa. Will be a real test for us this weekend I think.

NiclasCFC 2,582
Yeah, haha. Got skinned at least once.Sissoko has been nice, though.yeah they have really made some nice signings. I find it weird that their best signing (imo) Yanga-Mbiwa is on the bench.
OReillyD36 311
Newcastle have signed five players and only sold one. I'd love to see out board going for a few reliable squad signings instead of just going for superstars all the time.
