Now that the league is decided....come on United!!

Win that FA Cup final. Not sure if Lukaku and co. have what it takes for the CL final.

The only thing stopping City from the treble could be the FA Cup.

I'd rather City win the treble, they've been the best side of the PL.

I just can't support United, they had so much success with Sir Alex, nice to see them struggle alongside the rest of us.

It's nice to see Bournemouth & Forest rewarded for sticking by the managers who started the season.

Parker started the season at Bournemouth, but yeah O'Neill took over them after the 5th game. Also, especially as Parker accused the team of not being "well equipped" for the PL, O'Neill did a very good job. Parker will obviously point out that O'Neill was backed more in the market for January than he was for the summer transfer window, but even before the January transfers, O'Neill had them outside the relegation zone and picked up some really good results.

and West Ham, they are in a European final for the first time since 1976

They were one of 3 winners in the 1999 UEFA Intertoto Cup (which did not have a final) along with Juve and Montpellier

they last won a Euro final in in the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1964–65

I totally forgot about that. They did make some smart signings in Jan too, with Ouattara being the standout for me.

Moyes is also the first British manager to reach a European final since Sir Alex. Their league position is still concerning considering their recent outlay on players.

A win over Fiorentina (I have a sneaky feeling Viola will pull it off) and all will be forgotten.

That seems to contradict your thoughts on City.

United have been out of it for nearly a decade.

City have instead been eclipsing all our achievements during that time, overtaking us in league titles too.

Why would you want them to win the treble?

IMO City are spawning into something far worse.

a domestic Cup double for Manure would be horrid, especially as they are almost for sure getting CL too, even if we beat them

But that's my point - who cares about United at this time?

City are the ones who are running away with it in the past 10 years.

Liverpool also did a domestic cup double last year, and almost no one else besides Pool fans give a crap.

City winning the treble would make a lot of our achievements in the Roman era look like a mere footnote in comparison.

They will become only the 2nd English club to win a treble and are looking like winning four league titles back to back.

the only EPL team I would root for Manure is versus Spuds

and I would want that to be a draw if possible

I fucking hate

Spuds

Manure

Pool

Arse

far more than any other teams on the planet

to a lesser level I also hate

Juve

Bayern

Barca

Real

as those 4, along with Manure and Pool, were the Big 6 that forced in FFP to fuck AC Milan (Juve's Agnelli mafia kicked it all off to stop Berlusconi) , Chels, Citeh, and PSG (and Dortmund, Inter, and Atletico Madrid to a lesser degree)

City have the best squad (arguably) in European football at the moment and they are winning trophies.   I don't see anything wrong with that.

When we were winning league titles and other trophies under Mourinho, you could say that we (arguably) had the best team in the PL at that point in time.

The reason why I just don't like United is because they don't have a good squad or amazing players but with Rashford or Bruno or someone else they seem to pop up at the right moment of the game, take the 50/50 chance and get the win.  Them winning both domestic cups just feels wrong, especially when you consider they were killed by City in the league and even Klopp pulled their pants down on live tv and gave them a score line to remember.

The points you raise in this post, I can understand.

I couldn't understand your earlier remark about United having so much success under Ferguson., therefore making them a hated opponent

IMO, that Fergie team was not so different compared to City.
