tbh it depends on the performance. If City play like they did today, We should comfortably beat them with an average performance. Jose often tends not to risk a loss in big games and plays for the draw. IMO we should play for the win against City as long as Agüero has not regained his form and Toure is at the ACN. Fernando/Fernandinho/Lampard should not be a match for Fab+Matic.

Maybe. But you know how TC works. There would be some fellas who moan for the sake of it.

Guys, don't get too cocky, remember we went to the Ethiad last season when city were brushing everyone aside and hadn't lost or conceded at home in a while. It'll be the toughest game of the season.

Jose is a coach who always puts a special performance when it matters, Pellegrini isn't. Surely, City is still a big team and they have a chance to win but I really don't believe they are gonna win. Draw at best for them if they are lucky.

P.S. EPL bosses may not want us going 8 points clear so we should not give ref a chance to give a pen or red. :)

I know, but physical condition is a tangible factor in the equation.

Look how we played much better with a week of rest?

I say get things done tomorrow with Liverpool - yeah, at the Anfield - because we can. Then play a mixed team in the weekend and next week against Liverpool

Our key players need to be spared one out of the two games after this Tuesday. So rest some the weekend and others next week.

Alternatively Schalke and West Ham were brilliant displays and they both came few days after other games.

If we as good as secure the tie tomorrow then ill personally play the best team vs Bradford, a week and a half without playing for some player's could make them rusty and not as sharp.

It's pretty impressive since Agüero, Dzeko, Jovetic and Kompany were injured, Yaya missed a game or two as well. City did well in December, too bad they suck this year :D

I agree about the 8 point gap, if we allow that to happen again I don't see us getting it back.

In regards to Mourinho, yes he is an excellent manager but for me he epitomises everything wrong about the modern game and how it's become more about the soap opera rather than the actual sport itself.
..
It's all about acting out the Hollywood bad guy who succeeds with Jose and that play into his hands because his best management comes when he feels everyone is against him.

Mo Besic had a pretty good game tonight, was probably the best Evertonian on the pitch. Other than that, utter bollocks.

I like him as a player. He had a good world cup and though he didn't start well at Everton he is proving to be one of their better players in this bad rut Everton are in.

A few season more, developing the way he is, and I can see him making a move higher up.

I think its clear how we will play against City. Safe with very strong defending and waiting to counter attack city. Mourinho will go for a point or narrow win, but Im sure he will have priority in keeping clean sheet, rather winning the game. City on other hand will go all out attack and we can seriously harm them on counter. I wont be surprised if we play Matic-Mikel/Ramires in pivot with Cesc #10.

Only downside is that we will be much more tired than City and they will have more time to prepare for the game. A win vs pool will probably lift us a bit, but we must not get complacent.

Im sure City will go on us heavy and we will have to defend well. Its gonna be very very hard game for us, city needs win and they will play like hurt lions no doubt. But its our pitch and we should lead the game to draw atleast.

Plus Yaya and Bony wont play, its realy good for us. No Yaya and City midfield is not that powerful anymore.
