Term-X 7,891
Liverpool had to bring Toure on for Markovic against Wimbledon of league 2 ffs, just about sums it up. Shame we didn't get a fairytale tonight, but they gave it everything.
We Hate Scouse 10,326
Bony off to City for 30m.Glad we missed out. Good player, yes, A £30 Million player? Not a chance! iceboy
Toli 977
Glad we missed out. Good player, yes, A £30 Million player? Not a chance!well, they will get lots of money for Negredo in the summer and probably sell Jovetic/Dzeko. Bony and Agüero...thats a striking force my goodness. Would be good for our system too tbh. Great buy if it happens for City

Great buy if it happens for CityHe'd be good, but we're not exactly crying out for a £30 million striker at the minute. We have Costa, Remy, Drogba and Bamford. It's not worth the impact of FFP when the money could easily be utilised more appropriately for other positions such as RW, CM & CB Barbara
Thendo 1,088
Bit of a strange transfer by City imo. Surely Bony isn't worth over £20m, and isn't Aguero + Dzeko supposed to be back from injury soon? And even if they weren't, Bony will go to Afcon this month anyway, right? iceboy
LAB 1,030
Bony is very good. Maybe 30m is asking a lot but it's a great addition to their already bloated squad.

Even City and Pelligrino themselves have been rather vague about the injuries and return dates.

Don't let late last season heroics change the narrative. He is well below the standard they have.
FabHazard 655
Good signing for city IMO ..they will have more depth in attack..Man city can steamroll small sides with his physicality and long shots

Even City and Pelligrino themselves have been rather vague about the injuries and return dates. Last I've heard Aguero was back in training, Dzeko I have no idea.Bony is a quality striker who would be a good back-up to Aguero but I don't see why they are going for him now and not in the summer (probably for a cheaper price) since he will be at the afcon the coming month and Aguero + Dzeko probably will be fit by the time he's back.Dzeko sucks. Don't let late last season heroics change the narrative. He is well below the standard they have.I think he's decent enough for them, but yeah Bony is surely an upgrade.
