Just like last season. They just have their luck against City...

OR, this is the classic game plan against a Guardiola team. Defend well, let his side have all the ball and then just catch them out on the break. It's not like Spurs have been under great pressure defensively either. City have been drunk in the final third.

Shit tactics or not they are top of the league, but they wont sustain it, once the wheels come off they are fucked

Will they not sustain it? Unlike the other sides in Europe, Spurs can easily rotate their team for the Europa League and still have enough overall to go through to the knockout stages and if they are still at the top or near the top come January or February, you get the feeling that Mourinho will prioritize the league. And unless Son and/or Kane get/gets injured, they will likely be up there. Including today, this is their immediate 7 league games:

Man City (h)

Chelsea (a)

Arsenal (h)

Crystal Palace (a)

Liverpool (a)

Leicester (h)

Wolves (a)

If they pick up at least 13 points from their next 6 games, then...NIGHTMARE ON THE CARDS!

Nahh I dont see them sustaining it, they are bound to get injuries like the rest of us and for them the likes of Kane and Son are THE 2 best players they got.. They miss one of them and they will feel it. Let them have their fun, we will burn them next weekend if pgmol dont hold surprises for us.

Scary to think how far they would be if they did not collapse against Newcastle and West Ham.

True. They havent won the league since 1961, but some commentators are saying its their year already :D

City have no urgency, rubbish.

Still, at least flappy arms Sterling has a lovely new hairstyle

Mike 'Tottenham'  Dean in action. Two identical fouls in the space of ten seconds. Ignore the Sp*rs one, penalise City for the other one

Its fucking horse shit man, for how long will people claim they are just incompetent? Such a bent league.

Happy for Mourinho. He will always stay a legend for me.

Guardiola on the other hand is just a bald fraud. Maybe the biggest fraudster in today‘s football.

Pep is Messi made

cannot win anything big without him

Pep already has that resigned look on his face like he wants the season to hurry up and be over so he can bring Messi in next summer. This era of players looks like it has gone totally stale. They can still dominate the ball and will always be dangerous in flashes but they simply aren't the same lethal assassins that they were.

As for Spuds, I hate to say it but they appear to be legit. They look a lot like the good José sides of the past where they're rock solid at the back and ultra clinical up top.

Hope Kai & CP10 are back for next weekend. Don't think we'll make it nearly as easy on Spuds as City did today. And Kante + Mount won't simply allow Harry Kane the freedom of the entire center circle to orchestrate everything from deep like Rodri did.

Wonder whether Man City have made the wrong decision in handing Guardiola a new contract. They look to have gone stale under him and even if they get Messi next summer, not sure if that will really change much. There isn't gonna be another Alex Ferguson.
