Think this may be on. Us talking him up at the same time he's received a massive kick in the teeth from Moyes. He'd work well with Hazard, Mata and Oscar as well. You can imagine the four of them rotating constantly with one another. Talk about dynamism.

See whilst I know what you are saying there is another side to this. Last season he handed in a transfer request, right now, that still stands and is basically doing the talking for Rooney. Rooney has basically said "Here ya go, end of" Moyes, whilst constantly saying he won't be sold is kidding himself because his player has a transfer request that is still alive and active on his desk.

No team in their right mind want to keep a player who does not want to be there. I really do not see Rooney leaving for Barcelona, he has two very young children and comes across to me as a home boy. United couldn't turn down a bid of 25-30M from us, no chance, the Yanks will jump at this.

The noises from our players and Jose speak volumes to me, and players aren't daft they will know the targets and all this tells me things are being worked on. It won't be easy to fetch him here but I think we will get our man, we just have to be patient. The biggest slap in the face for Rooney was when Moyes said "He would provide a good back up to RvP......may as well of just hit him with a cricket bat.

Rooney is on, I tell ya now.

Even if you don't like him, which I clearly do, get behind this solely for all the buttfrustration him in the Blue shirt will cause the rest of the footballing world.

The last time our players talked up a player this much we signed him. That guy was Hazard. A repeat of that please

Well it's funny that you say that because I remember some members here saying they hate it when Barcelona players do it to other players from opposing team as it feels like their tapping that player.

But our players are doing the same thing.......

So the reality is that when you are in a big club the players from that club want their club to get better. As more better players means a better chance of winning trophies.

I think the main difference is that barcelona players say more inappropriate things like "I told X to join us, Ive asked X to join us, hes destined to be in barcelona, etc" im para phrasing of course.

Saying those kind of things is different to saying, that Rooney is a quality player, or if he signed he would be welcomed as reporters would ask players their feelings of player X and players got no other choice but saying they would welcome the signing.

Sorry but still the same shit to me.

I still feel that a player from a top club will do everything they can, to get a good player come to their team.

Like with Torres calling Mata many times telling him to come over to Chelsea.

Im sure, at least most are decent enough to not do it on public and totally disregard the club.

I think behind the scenes its abit normal for players to promote their club to other players, be it torres with mata, oscar to neymar, whatever.

I really do not want him, especially not for prices around 25-30 mil. He is over the top, already massively dropping in speed, which is essential for a lone striker. To play him as n° 10 is unnecessary: we have plenty of others for that position.

For that kind of money, we could have secured a younger striker with more potential, higher re-sale value and frankly, more excitement.

I am not saying that Rooney is not a good player: he has killer instincts, fabulous striking technique, a very good long ball too. Basically everything that's tied with kicking a ball (set pieces, passing, shooting), he is very good at. Hold-up play, transitions, etc., (movement): not so good.

So: as a squad player, sure, but not worth the money. Moreover, he only provides depth where we don't really need it (and there are positions where new players are far more necessary).

As soon as he signs for Chelsea I will be purchasing his top and all other generic Rooney merchandise that the CFC Megastore will create like they did for Torres lol

On a more serious note surely Wayne realises that CFC ..the manager , multiple players are talking him up .....how many united players are doing that for him ...all that has been said is he can break the utd goalscoring record by being 2nd fiddle to RVP !

ROONEY ROONEY ROONEY .....get em signed Roman !
