Our fan's mentality is changing which is not good enough. I bet most of you will still be happy if we don't win the CL or even come close to win them in the next 2-3 years if we continue to win FA Cup each year. Since when did we have this lay back attitude? We always go for the best and if it fail then we settle for second, not we settle for second because we can't get the best. We aren't even trying.

That laid-back attitude you talk about was about before Daddy Roman came along and people became spoilt by success.

You talk about £53 million like it's nothing. Read up on financial fair play, it'll explain why quite a lot of us aren't willing to spend such obscene amounts of money when we already have £102 million worth of attacking talent in Moses, Schurrle, Torres, Ba and Lukaku already at the club.

I know we can't but the think is this time we actually can and we are about to blow our best chance of getting one of the best striker in the world away. The frustrate thing is we are nearly there, nearly but then the board just gave up when we just need to go that little extra mile. Another annoying this is we can actually afford him and his whole clause but we decide to bid up to 85% then give up when we only to make it 15% more.

I think you need to log out, put your head under the cold tap, walk down the stairs on your head, close the curtains and sit in a dark room and evaluate.

And that's why for Mourinho he wont win big this season.

Cause he knows it will be hard because of the strikers we got.

We will stay with what we got till someone is sold. As simple as that.

That's not how a big club is run. clubs with less money do it because they often need to raise cash by selling before they buy but big clubs that are going for big targets need to buy them as soon as they can, before their target's are bought by other teams.

We'll be able to offload some players later and likely easier once their replacements are brought in...most players have more dignity than Malouda and would rather leave than just claim wages for nothing.

Madrid a big club has two strikers.

Barcelona a big club has 2 strikers.

City a big club has 3 strikers.

United a big club has 4 strikers.

Most clubs have on average 3 to 4 strikers.

You don't buy more strikers when you got 4.

Is jut not logical!

You DO NOT wait till you have offloaded players is my point for reasons already explained. and all those clubs that you listed are chasing more forwards because they understand you don't wait till you have offloaded players before trying to buy players you want to replace them.

Yes, but we ain't going to get rid of Torres.

He does not wants to leave.

So what you going to do?

Have two strikers that cost 50 mill each?

Ridicules!

We will get like City buying strikers left and right when we are stack.

We got Lukaku he is coming back, we just bought Schurrle who can also play a striker.

We got Ba in winter, who definitely deserves more of a chance then what he got.

And as explained Torres.

How do I explained that we are stack?

We are not even looking to offload for crying out loud!

To be Perfectly honest I wont be pulling on my nuts and stamping my feet like some kids on here if torres stays. Ive never been his biggest fan but he undeniably improved last season, albeit his league goal ratio was very poor. If we brought in a top top striker as well as keeping torres and lukaku I could not complain and if torres buys into joses mentality theres every chance that could happen.

Edit, sorry that was a bit of a derail there

NO, Torres is finished, Mourinho couldn't resurect Kaka, Sheva and Essien, i can't believe any one believes he will do different with Torres.

The guy is finished, plain and simple.

madrid: benzema and higuain >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ba, torres

city: kun, tevez, dzeko...and they have had 4 with balotelli and they will buy 1 or 2 for sure.

united: yes, no need to say. every striker is great

so, if you look in detail..every of this named teams has way better strikers than we have. so not really comparable. also barca is playing with a false-9...so no real striker needed. messi is just enough, ,because he plays every game.

we have one awful striker (torres), one mediocre striker (ba) and one young kid...so we dont have ANY world-class striker while the clubs mentioned above have at least one...

But ba has not had a chance. He just came this winter.

He deserves a chance before going out.

Then lukaku he is a beast.

Add to the fact we just got schurrle, then I don't see anyone else coming in.

The main problem with us continues to be in the mid field. That is the part where we need to splash the cash.

Calling Lukaka nothing more than "one young kid" is being a little disingenuous. He bagged 17 goals in the prem last season, often coming on as a sub. He took a big step in development this year. Not to mention his youth is an asset.

But do you really want to go into the season with Lukaku, Ba and Torres ?

Torres is simply not good enough, Lukaku is still very raw and Ba has shown that he's not good enough to be our main striker.

A quality striker needs to come in.

pressure playing for West Brom and Chelsea is different. he is very talented but he is still a kid and very raw. I think he is great No 2 but not ready to be No 1 striker yet.

schürrle is no striker. and he wasnt bought to play as a striker. he is an inside-forward and nothing else.

Yes, I believe in ba and lukaku to do the job that torres will fail to do, with the help of schurrle as well.

That's a big gamble.

Well is not like we are going to win the PL this season.

With Mourinho comments is as if he is giving up on this season but focusing more on the coming seasons.

He wants to work with more younger players, so if he is not going to spend big he knows it will be hard to challenge City this season.

And I'm ok for that. Cause we have a lot of younger players that merits a chance.

I mean just look at how Matic has turned out.

Before our younger players where crap, now we are getting more and more quality younger players.

Mourinho is only being modest. Of coure we are going for the EPL title. Every top team has a new manager and we other than city have a manager who knows how to win titles. we have the most talented squad in the PL already, of course we have a real chance. Hazard, oscar, Lukaku, KDB, Azpi will all make a step up, transition was last year. Borussia Dortmund also have fought on all fronts for 3 years, dominating teams like City or United with their main players being very young either. hazard and Mata are surely not less talented than Reus and Götze. The problem is the tactics. A good coach with good man-management like Mou can make us competitive again even without big signings.
