Now dat we have too many young players in similar roles in the like of Oscar; KDB; van Ginkel, Mour can develop one into a promising CDM, the best option being van Ginkel. These lads can learn a lot from DDR for dat matter. Our future is glowing in bright blue.

While I think De Rossi helps add to squad depth and gives us different options. I hope some of the quoted salary figures are not actually real andd will be payed to him if we get him. What happens if this transfer does not works out and we want to get rid of him? Would be difficult with his age plus the supposed wages.

am I wrong in saying that in the euros he played at CB a few times?

If so, and we do get him, do we need another CB? He could be good cover

he played with 2 CBs at his side. italy played a 3-5-2 oder a 3-4-3 with chiellini, de rossi and barzagli as CBs. he is not a CB for a normal 4 defender lineup.

The stats are very real, about £100,000 a week, and he turns 30 this month. With the club policy of 1 year deals for 30+ old players, the actual deal Roman puts will be very interesting. I reckon he gets a 3 year deal on his current wages, still an awesome buy

Lets hope Totti doesnt retire before we sign him..he's Stannis if Robert's king..pardon me for the game of thrones reference..

if that was the case then totti's wife's inbred son would become king of roma while tottis best friend is killed.

Mata on the wing is not bad. He did fairly well in the first few months under AVB but knowing how good he is in the playmaker role, he shouldn't be shunted to the wings
