Henrique 9,133
Lampard scored multiple goals that decided the fate of our entire season, so despite his form (and everyone elses) being weak, he's still one of the most important pieces of the team. Starting XI for sure.Hope you are wrong. His best belongs to the past, time to look for a replacement.
Sheva. 5,373
Lampard is too old to be untouchable, and combined with his poor form in this season, I'm not sure he will be a starting XI in next season. He was poor at times, but he still scored 10 goals after returning from injury, and carried us during the spell where our strikers couldn't find the back of the net - 5 goals in 6 games.I do agree he should not be untouchable, in fact no player should be, but i don't see him being benched from the very beginning of next season. Henrique 9,133
Lampard has to earn his place in starting XIThis, a player cannot play because of his name or of his past performances. If he plays like he did in this season, no way he can be a starting XI.and to be honest if he improves his performance and play like 2009/10 it will be a huge surprise. True_Blue 469
Hope you are wrong. His best belongs to the past, time to look for a replacement.Yeah shall we end his contract right now because he had an average season? You people are just ungrateful.World Class players in other clubs also had shit seasons and many ended their careers as Legends, but if you think every season will be magnificent and that we should change a player every time he has a shit season well it won't fucking happen. nadavTKL
neel 257
Lampard is Chelsea Legend . He will always be needed. But that does not mean he will start every game. If his place is guaranteed forever no matter what he does then no attacking midfielder will join us in foreseeable future. And we all know we need to strengthen our attacking midfield sooner than the later. Tortilla9, Peace. and Henrique

Spike 12,049
Harry Redknapp has made a stunning admission that Luka Modric may quit Tottenham this summer.I didn't know a player could just quit a team. I thought a transfer request was the only way.It must be a part of the Bosman rule.
Justin_3d 1,140
Well I would think Bale and Modric will put a transfer request this summer. So that means, does Chelsea get their man?Or too late?Cause I know if we don't get him, he goes to United.... Melanicus 5,208
They won't sell us Luka under any circumstances. Maybe Gareth, but absolutely no Luka. As Harry said it would show that Spurs are weak club and big clubs can take any of thier player with money.
incometax 116
id still welcome luka modric to the team; he could play as one of the holding mid positions in the 4-2-3-1 ; would be great for starting plays from the back. this means the shinny new wingers we sign in the summer(hopefully Hulk+arleady got marin) see alot of the ball and dont go missing during games(this happens when you can move the ball centrally). Kojo 4,676
He has had a better season than Modric.Modric was absolutely pants in the semi finalThat's true but to be logical Modric is still a quality player and better than Cabaye, Cabaye has better work rate, but Modric is a much better passer and has better vision, more creative. Cabaye is a good player who i hope we get, and i would rather spend about 12-13 million on him rather than spend 35 odd million on Modric.
