hiterto 37
Enough is enough, Jackson has to be benched. Use Guiu instead for the next few games, unless we buy someone soon.
DH1988 1,348
Guiu has to feel hard done by, I can understand bypassing Nkunku as the chap is, unfortunately, a passenger/shadow of his former self. Jackson just does so well in a situation where you think it's nothing but then will miss three sitters and it's a bitter sweet situation. Better used on the wing. Johnnyeye 7,510
wow, another pathetic display, this team is a joke. Any team with aspirations can’t have a GK like Sanchez and a main striker like Jackson. I’m very happy for Reece, great equalizing goal Edited January 15 by Johnnyeye

Thor 2,712
Jackson needs to play but maybe on the LW. He is too good at everything else. He literally made chances by himself today. He’s an absolute hound machine as well. Play him and Guiu together. dimmas
robsblubot 3,595
I've just watched the replay and based on comments here, I thought we had dominated the match and Jackson alone missed 5 sitters... kept looking for them and only found this one header in the first half where he should have scored, and yet I consider heading the football to be a glaring weakness in his game. Guiu? seriously? 🙂 The first goal came from a fantastic play by Jackson and he hit the post later in another great solo play. The game was never under control because Bournemouth pressed high and very well; that and their aggression caused lots of trouble esp for the kid who tbf had no business playing this game; if either Disasi or Tosin got beaten like he did (for the second) and people would be in arms here. He gets no points for being a kid. The opposition won't go any easier on him. Thought Colwill played well considering how poor Cuccu was today. Lavia had ups and downs, but looks unfit. Caicedo was poor as RB and poor in the middle, but I won't go too hard on him playing out of position for the first half. Enzo was good as was Jackson. Cole scored a nice goal, after Jackson's great play and did nothing else on the pitch.... pretty slow today (by his standards). Sancho looked good on the ball, but not much to show for it--he's also a bit lazy without the football. And Noni... wow! Very surprised he remained on the pitch for that long. What worries me the most is that this line up cannot press high to save their lives. It gets better with Neto on the pitch, but I'm not sure... Cole and Sancho together (esp w/ a selfish Madueke on the right) makes the team a bit lightweight for me. While we're on this topic, I'll keep repeating myself: NJ will only flourish here if he is permanently moved to a wide role. Has the ability to be an excellent provider due to his movement and pace. He missed one header and we are blaming him? How about the assist? How about the solo run and hitting the post? Even the header was saved, and I'd say he did the right thing heading it down - but just got saved. TheHulk and robsblubot 1

He missed one header and the subsequent rebound, so not only did he miss an easy header he shot wide from 2 yards the useless cunt Reddish-Blue and bigbluewillie 1

Mário César 1,274
Nico is a good player as a backup striker. He can be a very good second choice and play a lot of matches during a season, but not good enough to be our main striker I like him and Im happy to have him but we need another and better player. Maybe, and that's the reason we've been asking for an option with diff characteristics. What's the point of Jackson in the final minutes of a match when you are crossing and hitting long balls if he's not that good int he air? 4 hours ago, Reddish-Blue said: If Jackson had taken his chances in the 2nd half, we get the 3 points today... Like his energy but he really does lack the killer touch. Sure, but what if the D did a better job not conceding 2 goals? How many goals do we have to score to win a match? what if the mid controlled the game better? the chances weren't that many or that clear at least not for me; the was really one 1x1 which was the header -- the follow-up wasn't clear cut because the cb was blocking already. They defended well and they were always in our face. Very annoying team to play against. If someone had trouble understanding what Tuchel Chelsea did, imagine playing against this Bournemouth side but with world class players in several positions... 🙂 For me the biggest mistake by the manager was starting the kid in D. Not a game for him. I've been unimpressed by Tosin's lack of pace, but he's still the far better option at RCB. I can totally see how Jackson can be frustrating at times, but like I said, I watched the game with a cool head already knowing the result. Honestly I've seen games where you could point to the striker alone; this wasn't one of them. We did not play well enough to win the match. Our best attacks were counters. 😕 3 hours ago, Special Juan said: These are the words from VAR to Rob Jones last night as he watched VAR on Cucurealla Scott is believed to have said to Jones 'it's your gift' - a cryptic message which left some in doubt over the process of the decision-making. I dislike Cucu antics to be honest here, but this was a very clear red IMO. I wonder if Cucu is already paying the price for what he pulls off sometimes. They lost a few games but all it takes is some wins and teams around not to and volia up and up...which has happened. Now we're in a crisis... They just beat 2 dross teams. Saw what happened yesterday? After next game in Ipswich they have: Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool, Spurs and Nottingham. They won't collect many points there. Usually they finish over 90 points but this season probably around 65.

Not saying they'll win the league cause that's not gana happen but not sliding miles behind anymore. We haven't beaten anyone in a month league wise..went from being above Arsenal to 6 behind as it stands.. Edited January 15 by Laylabelle

Mário César 1,274
this year's fifth place is probably enough to go to the champions league nobody expected nottm to be doing the way it's doing, but if, after the start we've had, we miss out on the champions league, it's an unbelievable failure and it's going to be hard to digest Vesper
