Our problems run way deeper. Know management doesn't help but the players we have are pretty dire or just don't care! Then it'll be having someone take that risk to come here..sure they will but within a year or so we'll be back where we are now.

Know owners change and things change etc but in 2021 we won the Champions league...2 years later we're sitting 10th doing crap

Hard to imagine it's been only two years.. Feels like a lifetime ago.

But hey...according to Eghbali, the club wasn't doing enough from a sporting perspective. So here we are.

I’m starting to lose my cool with poch.

why is he starting to look like potter 2.0.

keeps playing players out of position.

Scared to make any tactical changes.

no clear game plan for the players.

board won’t sack him but he really needs to pull his finger out and get something from these players and stop pussy footing around them.

Sack Poch now and the owners will go to another project manager. Owners should ride out this season (as long as form doesn't nosedive further), admit they got a lot of things wrong and sign adults. The idea that these young players will grow like this is Football Manager should be binned.

Devils advocate, lets say Poch left tomorrow, who would people want to bring into this situation?

Someone with a set of nuts and that isn't happening because these wanker owners want a project man..  a yes man.

My issue with manager analysis, and his "mistakes" is causality:

We can say that Cucurella on the right was a liability and it costed us the match, but we don't know that do we? Because *our* option did not play--only his did. So, it's likely that had a different (unproven) player, or a James lacking match fitness, started and things would've been just as bad.

I for one look at all the mistakes (in my opinion) done by the club in signing players and can't think Posh is the biggest one. I also do see his tactics, the energy, and organization. Don't think the players are good enough, esp when missing a a couple of starters or subs, but that's hardly his fault.

I'd be very concerned if he gets sacked now or in Jan. I can totally see the club going downhill in a way not seen before.

Quoting @King Kante 's post from Caicedo's thread because I fully agree with:

Hard to tell to be honest, owing to our squad being so young, it could be they just don't have enough game management experience to execute what he is telling them.

One thing is being told what to do--another very different is executing it esp at this level. Either the PL is the crop of the crop, in which case "executing" footballing tasks has to be difficult (the opposition works against it), or it's just not that difficult to get here and to stay here. I think it's obviously the former.

Good points but playing devil's advocate, why is Enzo regressing? Caicedo who was excellent under DeZerbi, had no issues understanding his management. Why are our most senior players, Silva, James, Sterling, putting in very poor performances you could equate to someone new to the league?

thanks. So, I don't think the team is regressing. It's really just a normal curve with ups and downs that is slowly creeping upwards.
It's evidently affected by form, players available, fitness levels (international break), and the opposition. Does United have worse players than we got? why should we be beating them at their home?

Recently Enzo has just single-handedly won a match for us. I think he's adding a side to his game he did not have before, and that alone takes time. I'd like to know more about what and how Posh works in a daily basis, perhaps that's avail from reporters who cover the club.

Still, I think the progress is pretty nominal from what I've seen in the past with an overly young squad. And that's assuming most of these young players do indeed have a high ceiling, which I don't think is the case for at least a couple of them.

Some here said that they would be OK and patient with a young squad, but it's really hard when the results don't come. This level can be brutal to players and managers alike. That's the risk right now... that things blow up which isn't something young players normally deal well with.

Asked if Chelsea’s inconsistency will continue after the defeat to United, Pochettino replied: ‘I think so.   ‘That is a reason, I think to be more mature, as I say, we need time to build but that is true what you’re telling me, that is the reason why we’re having now.’

Surely his job is to not be inconsistent, sounds like he's getting the excuses in early

Pochettino is a development manager, he is not a serial winner to expect a winning mentality from him
And he is not the problem, the problem is the one who took him and who imposes this    project without core Ted Lasso .

This is as terrible as I imagined with Poch as the manager of the team. Sad times. Incompetent American owners, old Spurs bottler, and a squad that somehow still doesn't have a proper forward... or keeper.

It doesn't matter if Poch or the whole squad or whever is sacked. As long as we have these owners, everything will be done on clown level. I can promise you, we will not ever get back into CL under this current ownership.
