Would be great news. Did a wonderfull job last season ( well in fact this season ) with the promotion. Could bring a wonderfull time to our club.

Interesting fact, he started his career at Anderlecht together with one ... Romelu Lukaku. They were ( and are ) very close. Kompany will certainly be able to use the qualities of Romelu to the fullest. At young age they both had already incredible skills.

Wow - you really have a hard on for Lukaku dont you?

Hopefully we get Poch because it will all but confirm that he wont play Rom as he isn’t suited to a high pressing team.

I know him since he was 16 as a player from Anderlecht. I followed his achievements through his career and I really like him as player

I know he has not the best technique and sometimes ( rare but it happens ) he looses the ball during a control but he never gives up. I find it very sad for him that he got laughed at so many times. He did wonderful things in his career with many clubs ( Anderlecht, Everton, Inter , Manchester was a little less ) and I'm sure he can succeed with Chelsea also but he is an emotion player. When he got sheared, applauded and people shout his name, he gets confident and then he is an unstoppable force. But the downside is that when people only see and talk when he misses a chance, he looses confidence and with that he becomes less UP.

Kompany can give him the confidence he earns and put the killing machine back on track. He can easily become top of the league goalgetter ( Haaland may be a problem but he is the only one ).

How the fuck is Kompany even in discussion? This has to be a joke. 🤦‍♂️

It's the same thought process that went through people's heads when Lampard's name was brought up again. Anything these owners decide to do shouldn't surprise you at this point.

So if we get Poch will he come right away or wait till the summer?

I would say the sooner the better so he can see the players before the mass exodus this summer.

Wait. Can't risk a baptism of fire (which is possible if not likely looking at our fixtures and how his system is a lot fitness related) especially given many will look for the first excuse to turn on him given his Spurs connections.

What will everyone's expectations be next season then?

For me it almost solely depends on who we appoint and how they manage the job. For example, under Pochettino or a manager of that ilk I would consider top 4 a good result IF it coincides with the implementing of a sustainable looking system and the young players we have looking well developed and coached.

However if we appoint a win now f**k everything after coach like Mou, Alegri or Conte I will expect the title and no excuses.

Expectations should be top 4

When you look at the following teams all have cash coming from the owners above what the club makes and player sales depending on their FFP situation

Man City

Aston Villa

Newcastle

Arsenal

most likely Man United

Top 4 is going to be harder than years past. We better get a clear vision and a system that is clear to the players fast. We start bumbling through next year and top 4 will be over quickly.

I have absolutely no idea who I want as manager, those I was expecting have cried off... don't blame them though.

If it turns out to be Poch then I will support him, not barrack him.

'cos with Enrique and Nagelsmann out of the equation there's no one else.
