milka 3,393
lol half a month without a game sometimes it's better to have game after game so you can build some confidence instead of sitting for 2 weeks without a game
SAtech 0
If Reece, one of our top strikers, is out, the game will certainly have to be another painful grind. Sterling is not the only one of our assailants; we sorely need one or more of them to finally step it up.

bigbluewillie 1,930
Can someone tell me about Zakaria? All I think I know about him is that he was pretty good quality and a DMF, but has had a shocking injury. MAGENISH

Maybe not playing will be a blessing as we'll have a bit more time to get Kante fit.

If the FA have sense, and Oct 1 is a no go, they'll move it to Oct 2nd. They'll probably bend to the will of the broadcasting companies though. Blue Armour 4,442
Also, was it not possible to have Chelsea v Fulham this weekend instead, with the Pool game not happening?

Still policing issues though...less chance of trouble but still two london clubs police needed and not enough available. And Fulham played Friday also so would've had to change that game to accommodate it all. The match was played at the Amex Stadium in Brighton as Graham Potter led his side against his old club just over a week after leaving in a £20million compensation deal. Both sides played a mix of senior and youth players as they coped with the cancellation of their Premier League fixtures due to a lack of policing after the Queen’s passing last week. Those players who faced RB Salzburg in midweek and are due to join up with their national team squads were allowed time off for the semi-competitive training match. It meant runouts for the likes of Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Trevoh Chalobah, Armando Broja, Denis Zakaria and Conor Gallagher. Chukwuemeka, who has yet to make his first-team debut since joining in a £20m deal from Aston Villa, proved the match winner in the 2-1 victory as he took his chances in front of Potter. Chelsea do not play until October 2 when they face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. They were due to face Liverpool this weekend and the postponed match is yet to be rescheduled. Similarly, Brighton were due to face Palace in the Premier League, a game originally called off due to a now-delayed train workers strike that was also not spared ahead of Monday’s funeral in London. lucio 5,418
Might as well play the young baller. Giving run outs to the likes of jorginho in Azpi is pointless. They are not the future and can barely contribute in the present. If potter wants to stay long term he needs to promote as many youngsters as possible because we aren’t going to get close to the league.
