Stats 7,147
Yep, my patience has worn thin now. I had offered my support for him to remain in charge to gain some sustainability, however after today, this is just the final nail in the coffin. Enough is enough. Same old. Nice passages of play an link ups but no clear created chances. Aubameyang is not necessarily going to be a miracle to our prayers, but I struggle to see why he has been so ostracized from the team when our attackers have done dog sh*t. In the past few weeks, he only changed up the forward line once against Southampton and then took Fofana off at H/T despite him offering a lot more than other players that game. Decisions don't make sense. We have not looked this dysfunctional for a long, long while. I have actually forgotten what it is like to win. But no excuse for another poor showing. Two sloppy goals too. I don't see how he survives this now and I don't see what excuse can be made for Potter now. Same old crap. Johnnyeye 7,510
the fact that Potter is still allowed to be the coach it shows how clueless Boehly is, the guy must think this is the NBA where we can tank and get a high draft pick. Popular Post! YorkshireBlue 3,279 Posted February 26, 2023 Popular Post! Share Posted February 26, 2023 I'll be honest.... My patience has practically run out, I gave him the benefit of the doubt with injuries etc, but there is no hiding now, that team selection was an absolute joke. coolhead23 1,147
After today's game I'm confident that we're doing the same things expecting different results. Are the players to be blamed, hell yes! However how to do plan & strategize is to the gaffer. And there're so many gaps which indicates that Potter is not able to keep it together Constant chopping & change. Not sure on the first 11 Same tactics with different people. Link up from behind to the middle is sorted but transition from middle to in front is at best average and link up around the final third is non existent. Too many touches in the final third is killing the momentum. The obsession of keeping possession is not helping. All the above boils down to the Gaffer & the technical staff. Players are not interested when they take on the field. In game intelligence was zero, eg: Mudryk had 2 players on him whenever he had the ball but instead of doing a quick pass he was keen to take them both ... Chilwell's positioning for the second goal was duh! ... so many times when we should have done an overlap but the player goes & waits half way ... there was a need to play a one touch game & feed the ball into the box but we just keep pushing it away. Not in favor of sacking managers but Potter is not helping himself. manpe and Johnnyeye
ZAPHOD2319 4,819
I’m so sick of pitter patter in the final third after everyone was walked up the pitch and 90% of our players are standing around. He has had long enough to show some evidence of a plan to get goals. Nothing. I’m not about insulting him, he seems like a nice guy. He needs to be someone else’s nice guy. Blue Armour 4,448
Looking at the PL form table, Crystal Palace is the only other club without a win in the last 5 games. And even they have one less loss in comparison.
Laylabelle 9,536
It's frustrating because we started well and you thought potentially maybe we could score..and then nope 2nd half diaster as per usual. Used to think if we went 1-0 down you could expect a equaliser now..less so.. Johnnyeye

Pizy 18,952
I’ve been hesitant about Enrique because his only really successful period came when he had arguably the best attack in club football history. He has never done the business outside of his Spanish comfort zone. Didn’t pull up trees at his other stops. But I’d take him for sure right now. He would at least bring some pattern and structure to our play and help get the best out of these flair players. I read some quotes from Messi saying he’s a brilliant coach. Just bring him and give him a head start in next season. manpe and Johnnyeye
Fulham Broadway 17,333
Football is a business first and foremost to Prem Clubs. The transfer fees and wages have spiralled out of control. There isnt time for any Mr Nice guy to be given a chance. The sooner Boehly and Eggman realise this the better. Vegetable 830
Quote We need to find a good feeling, a nice game, three points Yeah, dude is like 15 games late to the party and luckiest man alive that Boehly had burnt the bridge with only elite replacement on the market. I wonder where is a potential win for Potter as a manager in this situation, except his fat paycheck - he is generally hated, bar Law and co, if he is sacked, he is done at top level that he never actually reached, and let's say this dumpster fire is dragged because Boehly can't admit he was an idiot - if it takes Potter 4 years, relegation battle and miserable seasons to make a top 4 contender after acquiring world's top talent a top 4 contender again, will people really let themselves to be tricked to think it's a success? Whatever success the champion of excuses will (unlikely) achieve, people will always be somewhat right to say you could have a dog on the touchline and achieve the same with this squad and money… Johnnyeye

MrExcalibur100 7,124
He's the worst manager in the history of the club, which really takes some doing considering the finances and players he has available to him Johnnyeye

LAM09 7,062
I think Potter is at the point of no return; he's been manager for a number of months, overseen a full transfer window, and has essentially a full squad to pick from, but our performances get worse each game. There has to be a time when those making such decisions realise the same thing. Reddish-Blue and Johnnyeye 1

Full squad wasn't there but surely had plenty of time to strategize
