Maybe he shouldve had time away..know not idea and hard but for personal problems could've been done even for a few weeks..

Yeah I dont think many have 'compassionate leave' for that, a bereavement sometimes. Mourinho went a bit mental when his dad died -totally understandable. Some things are so much more important than football.

sacking an another manager now would not solve the issue if we dont cut half of the squad too.

i will always love azpi but come on, he is way past his form. not even his fault that he has to play but still. jorginho loves the club and is passionate but if i have to watch another season with him starting most of the games im ending myself. left backs are a disaster. one cant get healthy the other is not simply not good enough yet apparently.

midfield is the biggest issue in my opinion. kante is dead, jorginho is also finished for high level pl club, rlc is at best a back-up, kovacic is very good but he cant do this shit alone and is also injured often. gallagher is same as rlc and mount is just a massive disappointment. do we even know his best position here? imagine your loanee is your most reliable midfielder.

attackers are far from good also, but still they would a much easier job if we had a functional midfield. if no one can create a fucking chance from the midfield and we have to rely on our injury prone right back to do something every game...how can we expect getting goals on regular basis. havertz is a good player but often played out of position, pulisic is just not good and injured often also, ziyech is in his own world where he has one good game out of 6. auba is not a quality anymore. sterling is also a player who relies on others to create. he's not hazard who can win and carry the game alone. far from that.

dont think a manager in this world would solve our problems now.

sacking potter and getting another mediocre manager is again a move sideways. play the young guys and dont give a new contract to joginho, mendy, mount (until he deserves it).

Which is a shame because even though obviously its different to a death its still a huge change of circumstances and something that would have a impact...

Tuchels head was all over the shop allegedly with his marriage breakdown

I mentioned this at the time. It was around the time we won the club world cup.

And all hell broke lose following that. The war..the sanctions, and the club getting sold.

Exactly - but through the lens of the media, owners, and fans we expect the whole thing to be exempt from empathy - a massive game of Football Manager drenched in ridiculous amounts of money.😉

Yup complete clusterfuck - we can see now how driven Abramovich and the board were in acquiring success -wonder what he thinks now watching us... ?

I think Potter is safe no matter what this season. He’ll be given every opportunity to turn things around because to sack him would humiliate and embarrass the ownership who invested so much in him. If he starts next season poorly then they’ll have no choice.

Sacking him now (or anytime this season, really) isn’t going to do us any favors. We’re miles off top 4, out of both domestic cups, and are ravaged by injury. I can’t see any manager coming in and giving this current group a new manager bounce. They’ve given up.

We have to suck it up, take the medicine, and hope there’s some serious surgery done in the summer on this squad. That includes getting rid of quite a few players I’d be sad to see go.

This is exactly the point. They are keeping him at the expense of performances to save face. Roman didnt care what anyone thought of him, he was results orientated. We are wallowing in mediocrity so the owners dont have to pay up for their mistake.

We will finish 10th this season. Some kids arent going to improve us by next season. The ownership needs to get their heads out of their asses, sack the manager, terminate a few contracts and sign some effing good players like enzo.

Just like arsenal with arteta.

Sorry..I don't buy that adage about it working for one club, so it should work for us.

Arsenal were down in the dumps under Arteta for nearly 3 seasons., and they really hit gold in this transfer window.

While they may have their best league finish in a decade this season, it's still one season..

And even if Arteta does end up being success like Pep, it's Arteta. Not Potter.

Arsenal signed two very good city players for peanuts. They are playing exactly the same system so they fit right in. The only way our signings fit in is like clowns in a circus.

Arsenal fans were screaming arteta out. But arteta still learned from the master. GP has learned from noone, has experience in nothing and has won, you guessed it, fuck all.

Short of Boehly begging and apologizing like a cheating husband at his wife’s feet to get Tuchel to come back I don’t see anyone out there that’s an obvious choice. Luis Enrique would be a huge risk just like Potter was. Getting some other up and coming manager is not going to cut it. Poch seems like a safe choice given his PL experience, I guess.

Maybe we can hope Conte goes full Conte at Spuds and we can get him back? 🤣 He’s the sort of take no shit manager this lot need. Plus, there would be no clashing with this hierarchy about spending since Boehly will clearly spend whatever it takes.

Poch and Conte both play 3 atb though. I dont think anyone wants to go back to that, especially the ownership. I really think there isnt anyone that can improve us, but thats something the ownership shouldve thought of before sacking tuchel.
