Christensen is still untested in the back four, so yes he could be a liability just like under Sarri and Lampard. I would say only Zouma, Silva, and Rudiger have looked decent in the back four.

If Christensen is a liability in a back 4, then so is Rudiger. Both of them have done their best work in a back 3, first under Conte and then Tuchel.

Rudiger though looked decent in a back four at Roma. But yes both Rudiger and Christensen are in another level in a back three.

Didn't Christensen also look decent in a back 4 at Gladbach?

He did, if anything almost everyone wanted him out.

that is so over the top it basically doesn't deserve a reply

every player we have on the roster had shit games under Sarri and under Conte and Lamps, hell some (most?) under Tuchel too, in his short spell

it is blatant ahistorical revision to say Ac was ever at Bakayoko level

if he was, he would have been gone long ago

I did my fair share of ripping him, but he has so, so turned it all around

he stepped into the biggest pressure cooker almost possible (maybe short of a WC Final)

and dominated against a monster offensive team worth well over £1.5b in a non covid market, after taking over for Thiago

Until there is an evident that suggest Christensen did well in a back four, it mostly only a speculation.

To each to their own, i still don't trust Christensen to do well in a back four.

Understood. I just think that, based on what he has done for us lately, there is no possibility of the club concluding that Andreas is a disposable asset. For that assessment to change he would have to fail to perform, in whatever system, over a stretch of games and that's not going to happen this side of the transfer window closing. My bet remains on there being zero possibility that Chelsea are prepared to include Andreas as a make wait in a transfer a package.
