AS Roma had positive talks with Tyrique George’s camp in London today.

George can join AS Roma on permanent deal with heavy sell-on clause, talks are underway.

Bad move to go to a slower league when he looks like he could be a PL starter

Better for us he doesn’t stay in the league though, no? If he kills it at another PL club whilst Gittens struggles we’ll never hear the end of it.

Despite the efforts to sign Nicolas Jackson, Bayern have yet to completely write off the name of Christopher Nkunku

Bayern's initial goal was to include an option to buy for any player they get on loan, but now the club would also be happy with a straight loan without an option

One point is making things difficult for Max Eberl in the negotiations, as he has to explain to other clubs why Bayern had the money to sign Nick Woltemade for over €55m but would now only offer a loan deal to other players

AS Roma are willing to pay €20m to bring Tyrique George to Rome.

I don't see too much in George.. But few years ago we sold an attacker to Roma and I didn't really rate him either.

George has better attributes than Gittens. Gittens is a pace merchant with a mediocre finesse shot.

lol the nonsense on here.

Happens every single time. You guys pile on to signings you don’t like.
Bloke has played one game and we are acting like he is off the pace.

This forum is absolute shambles when we aren’t winning every second of the day. The first 15 mins of the West Ham game thread is another great example of this.

It would be pretty fucked up if we’ve been negotiating for and telling Xavi all summer that we really want him, agreed personal terms with him, and had him rejecting a bunch of other big clubs so that he can come here and then we switch to Fermín instead at the last moment. Especially if we were to end up paying a similar price.

If we had never been linked with Xavi Simons at all and Fermín was the first choice all along I’d be happy with him. But it would feel like a huge letdown for me personally if we don’t get Xavi now. I think he instantly slots in and hits the ground running and he reportedly really wants to play here.

With Fermín you’re signing a player who’s probably super sad and reluctant to be leaving his boyhood club. Who knows how he’d take to the PL.

Now let's keep fingers crossed that his team finds its way onto Chelsea's fixture list.

Why would you want potentially 7000 km trip mid week to central Asia?

Also can't take seriously any praise for 17yo player from Kazakhstan because odds are against him. There's never been good enough player from his country for top level, not even close.

It was similar a couple of years ago with Zakharyan and his career went nowhere...
