Yet they aren't even getting the best youngsters around, these guys are clueless.

Egh-boehly likes them cheap. Put them on a long term contract. Raise the potential.

Makes it look better when the club is up for sale in about 8 years.

Maybe Santos is simply not so good?

For a side fighting relegation in France?

I'm sure that isn't the case. More like another stupid transfer decision.

Screams "feeder club". If that's his intention, sell us and stick to Strasbourg.

So far he failed in 2 of 2 loans, of course you can try to turn it around as much as you want but if he was so good he would surely get a chance.

He showed more than enough in preseason to be kept around even after signing Lavia. Ugo should have been sent out on loan and Santos kept with our injuries and poor play in midfield he definitely could have played.

Lesly has 2 full seasons of Ligue 1. Why would we send him on loan over Santos?

Because he sucks

At the time we hadn't seen anything from him because he was brought in late and Santos showed more that we good tangibly see in preseason.

People expect player who played 6 games in top flight Brazilian league to walk into Chelsea team. And then they are cursing at owners for playing only inexeperienced kid. Ugochukwu isn't great signing also, but decision to keep him and loan Santos out was reasonable at that time.

I have seen almost nothing on the other guys, but Ousame Diomande would be another lackluster signing.

He is, was getting destroyed by Atalanta. We need Silva not this fraud.

He joined Forrest when they were in dire need of midfielders, and within weeks of him joining, they brought several other midfielders with much more experience than him. A relegation candidate isn't going to throw a youngster in with no benefit to their own cause.

Just look at Fofana's two loan spells this season; he started one league game in Germany while he's already started five games for Burnley in a much harder league. Is he suddenly "good enough" now, or has he just been given a chance to show what he can offer?

I really don't know how Santos' career will unfold over the next few years; however, the reasoning you've provided for his lack of game time doesn't suffice. If he had gone to Portugal in the summer, he would have certainly been in a better position than he is now.

That's not true - he started 7 games in Bundesliga. And it's still a long way for him to say he is worthy playing for top club (like we want Chelsea to be).

As to Santos - if player fails one loan, it may be accident, if he is failing his second it starts to look like he is not good enough.
