It just depends on who we have lined up to replace the outgoing players. If Kovacic wants to go back to Serie A, that's his choice and it's better that we get some sort of fee for him rather than watch him walk out the door like Rudiger/Christensen and lose out on 60+ million worth of transfer fees. Which are usually able to make any player look awesome. Doesn’t even look as good as Mount. Seems like a total waste of money to be targeting another AM. He has a great left feet, his free kicks, corners and crosses are great, hence he regists many assists, also he shots often from long distance. But his overall work is not great.
