People focus on Haaland but this Alvarez guy is also amazing. Would start here without problem. How City got both? 🥺

How is he agreeing to be a rotation option?

I think if haaland wasn't tearing it up, people would be calling him the next aguero.

Many other clubs can compete for Leao, if they want to. If they don't want to then there is a reason for that. By all means take the risk of buying him if we think our recruitment team have got their assessment of Leao right, while all the non-competing teams have underestimated him. Just be sure to pay a risk price. Time and again we have allowed ourselves to bid over the odds when there didn't seam to be anybody competing for the player's signature. Most recently with Cucu for example.

Almost all transfer news articles about us are pure rubbish. New lows in stupidity and bollocks.

Just reading them lowers my IQ.

Don't know why you even bother reading it. I don't believe any rumours about Chelsea any more, until they are holding the shirt! Been on this rodeo to many times!!!!

Said from the summer that Alvarez is a lot more suited to City's system than Haaland.

No matter what goal records he breaks I'd feel a lot more convinced we could compete with City (if/when we get our house in order) with Haaland as the main striker over Alvarez.

they look pretty damn settled to me

I honestly thought they were pretty poor against us which is what annoyed me about the loss even more.

Ultimately despite how shit we were the result came down to Willock hitting his shot a little bit better than what Gallagher did.

Let’s be real here, there is no quick fix option in January that’s going to suddenly turn our miserable season around. Not Leāo, not Vlahovic, not Felix. If we are going to reverse the rot it’s almost certain to come down to all of our injured players returning and hitting top form.

Any business we do next month should be with the future in mind rather than short term thinking. If that means overpaying then so be it because these players will likely be off the table when we don’t have CL football next season.

Sadly, the crown jewel target Gvardiol is surely off the table after the World Cup he just had and the position we find ourselves in. Much like Haaland we’ll probably be cursed to watch him kill it at City for the next decade.

Seems like he would be better suited to playing for City than Liverpool tbf, although they did buy Kalvin Phillips and already have Rodri there.

If Liverpool go for him instead of Bellingham even then - it would be a good signing. Although Thiago sort of does what he does and more but he is younger and a long term signing if done.

Also has an aggressiveness about him like most typical South American CMs.

Liverpool Paying Up

According to reports by Argentinian journalist Gustavo Yarroch, via ESPN Futbol Argentina, Liverpool are willing to pay the €120m release clause for Benfica star Enzo Fernandez.

The report also states that a personal agreement is close. These new statements follow up from the weekend's reports suggesting that Liverpool had a pre-contract agreement to sign the Argentinian midfielder.

His former side River Plate are attentive to the situation, as they will receive 25% of the fee.
