On De Jong, it would kind of be insanely impressive if we pulled that off. The main reasons I’m extremely skeptical about it are that United not only have his former manager who seems hell bent on turning them into Ajax by targeting all his former players, but they can also offer silly, ridiculous wages that I doubt we’d go near. I’m seeing stuff about £400k a week which is absurd.

Plus, he’d be treated like a savior and hero there. Would he turn that down?

5 atb is a gimmick and is limited.

It's 3 at the back hence 343. 5 atb is completely different. Wings backs are attackers as well as defenders you lose put on 1 player with 3. If you get a decent ball playing centre half in the middle then you loose nothing. There is a reason 343 is one of the most attacking formations you can play lol just because Pep n klopp have success with 433 doesn't make it the superior formation lol.

Only until the novelty wears off. We've seen Pogba and even CR7 scapegoated due to being unable to carry the shit around them.

True. I think the wages bit is key, though. It’s at the point of desperation for them and the humiliation of missing out on a guy they’ve been chasing for 3 months would turn that place toxic from day one.

Let's have it right, last season our midfield was non existent... literally wank... every team and their dog ran through us game after game.

Thank fuck TT realised how bad it was and still is.

Yup. This was a bigger issue for me than the attack.

We won the biggest prize in football with 5 atb.

But I get your point. We need to be more proactive against some opposition to finish higher up the table. Not sure if this is down to the system mind.

Virtually every team that won the CL has played with 4atb, and pretty much the norm formation for top teams. Even Nagelsmann who heavily used similar formation changed to 4atb at Munich.

There was word that he was not open to United but interested in a Chelsea move. If he was going to United, wouldn't he have signed already?

We don't play with 5 atb ppl need to get that ideology out of their heads

I think he’s been genuinely desperate to stay at Barca. But I’ve thought all along that Barca will essentially force him out and United would eventually get him because they were the only suitor.

If we’re genuinely interested I have no clue who he’d prefer.

Ronaldo leaving at H/T epitomises why I’m don’t want him in my team. No player is bigger than the club. I know there are reports that other players did the same, however I don’t buy it, or if they did it probably was taking example from what Ronaldo did and following his lead.

The reasons behind Carney Chukwuemeka's surprise move from Aston Villa to Chelsea have already been explained by Steven Gerrard.

Chukwuemeka had entered into a long-running contract stand-off with Villa, refusing to sign a new deal. His current contract was set to run out next summer, with Chukwuemeka thought to have been keen to leave in search of more game-time.

He has now been granted his wish for an exit, with the Blues set to complete a £20million deal with Villa. The move was announced on Tuesday night, with Chukwuemeka expected to travel to London to agree personal terms and undergo his medical.
