If Ake is costing in the 50m region, it is much better to go after Kounde then a guy who has struggled to get playing time on a team we are trying to catch up on.

While i don't disagree we should walk away if City want £50m (although he's not as bad as being made out especially in a back 3) I've never really got the end logic. Liverpool and City signed players we deemed not good enough while trying to chase us and that ended up allright. Milner couldn't get in City's team but has since helped Liverpool compete with them.

Would have hoped Deco painted a great picture about his playing time here to Raph, but eh.

I'm not high on players who are keen on other countries all together, but other clubs too. It will always be there. City and Pool don't have this problem at the moment because they are painted as "fun" clubs for great attackers to play for. If we do come 3rd or 4th again this season, lets do it while scoring 100 goals even if it means conceding double what we usually do.

Azpi wanted to stay at Marseille, Cesc wanted a return to Arsenal.

The only signing players who consider us first choice is just not realistic.

Everybody losing their minds and thinking it looks like one big clusterfuck have to realise that Boehly is going to be making a lot of contacts, lines of enquiries, etc over the last couple of weeks as he's coming into this cold. A lot of this can be construed as us linked to player x and y (already the Richarlison rumours went from us trying to hijack the deal to apparently just an enquiry that went no further), but I'm sure there's a lot of work going on behind the scenes and until I see otherwise, I'll judge our summer when it's crunch time.

People are worried about Spurs and they've made some good signings on paper but even if we only signed Sterling and replaced Rudiger in our backline I'd still have our squad over theirs, especially considering we also have loan players coming back in to freshen and beef up the squad if required. They have and always will be one lengthy injury to Son and/or Kane away from a disaster.

And are they on the verge of spending more on Richarlison than City did on Haaland?  My god that's funny

That's only where the transfer fee is concerned. Haaland's total package far exceeds whatever Tottenham will outlay for the former.
