It’s easy to say. Now he plays in piss poor competitions only. Not uncommon a player leaves PL and starts firing

But you also have other examples. Hazard and Coutinho best players in PL, in Spain could not do shit.

Also he got 2 assists against Napoli, great game against Atletico hardly piss poor teams.

we need to make clear that we can't buy a world class play to fight for a spot with chilwell. we need a upgrade to alonso but its impossible to buy a better player than chilwell

Interesting but I'd like to be sure I understand please. Do you mean it's impossible to buy a better LWB than Chilwell because you're saying there just isn't a better one out there, or do you mean it's impossible because you believe replacing Chilly is a bad squad building move?

My own opinion is that we should be looking to recruit a player who, at the least, will compete to be the starter, not arrive to be the backup.

Inter Milan in agreement with Romelu Lukaku over his Chelsea future

There have been growing rumours that Italian champions Inter Milan will make a move to re-sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea this summer after his struggles at Stamford Bridge

Italian champions Inter Milan are in agreement with Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku over his future amid speculation of a move.

The Belgian striker became the most expensive player in Chelsea's history when they spent £97million to secure his signature from the Italian champions last summer.

The 28-year-old has found the net just 10 times in 28 appearances for the Blues this season in his second spell with the club, having originally left Stamford Bridge permanently in 2014.

Having gone on to have spells with Everton and Manchester United, it was in Italy with Inter which the striker truly found his top form with 64 goals across the space of two seasons.

As reported by Mirror Football, Lukaku has no intention of leaving Stamford Bridge at present and wants to stay and fight for his place at the Champions League holders.

The Belgian was widely recognised as the best player in Serie A last season where he spearheaded the Milanese club's first league title in 11 years.

Yet he has not replicated this success at the Blues and Saturday was a low point for the striker, as he had just seven touches across 90 minutes against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

That was the lowest number of touches on the ball for a player in the Premier League since records began for a player who stayed on the pitch for the full match.

That led to the striker being benched for the Blues Champions League Round of 16 first leg tie against Lille at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

Despite things not going to plan at Chelsea so far, multiple reports in the Italian press state that Inter have no intention in making a move for the striker to return to the club.

As per Football Italia, reports from both Gazzetta and FCInter1908 claim that Inter are not considering making a move for the player.

That is primarily due to the financial situation at the club, which despite winning last season’s league title and playing in the Champions League this season has not notably improved to the point where they can invest heavily in their playing squad.

Thierry Henry, who formerly coached Lukaku at the Belgian national side, expressed his surprise at why Chelsea had moved for the striker last summer.

Lukaku was dropped for the Champions League match vs Lille this week

Henry, working as a pundit for CBS, said: “Chelsea like to press; to be active and to change the front three.

"Lukaku likes to stay in the middle so it makes it very difficult for him to adapt to the situation.

"But, again, why did you go and get him?”

There will now be serious doubts as to whether Chelsea’s club-record signing will be a regular in the line-up for the closing months of the campaign.

The minute that happens, Roman likely calls in the £2 billion in loans that he loaned the club, and we are basically forced to liquidate (barring someone assuming the debt and paying it off).

I haven't really looked into this in too much detail but my understanding is the loan is owned to fordstram, a company owned by Roman but essentially set up as a holding company for the multiple companies that are under the Chelsea umbrella.

I would assume if we were to be seized, so would the holding company making it impossible for the loan to be called in under Roman if he loses his power and influence over the two businesses.

I'm not even sure of the legalities of the government being able to sell us on if they were to seize us, I'd imagine it would lead to a huge, messy legal case.

Hardly ideal but we'll see how things develop.

It is getting hard to concentrate on signings for the future, what with the Sword of Damocles handing over our heads.

The yanks and many other are baying like rabid dogs for Abramovich's head, calling for Chelsea to be seized.

Bloomberg had a report about a number of interested bidders from USA

Raphinha and another goal scoring winger are an absolute must.

No sure about Raphinha being a goalscoring winger. He only has 5 goals from open play in 24 matches this season. Not saying he is bad but we need a player to fit our system 100% even more so than his goalscoring record.
