Pizy 18,994
It would be very strange (and smart) for Tammy to go to Atalanta. I would’ve figured for sure that a young English striker who can score for smaller teams wasn’t highly sought after by multiple PL clubs. If he can get his head down and really improve in Italy at a very good club he’ll be back in the PL for £50m or more in a couple of years. Mário César 1,343
If Halaand isn't avalable and Tottenham don't negotiate with Chelsea, just remains lukaku. its the only and the right chooise mkh
robsblubot 3,595
The irony here is that the same majority who wanted the club to go after promising younger players, which we did, are now asking for a "ready" striker in Lukaku, which will definitely impact far better players, like Kai. The point of promising younger players is that they will improve over time; that you don't buy them at their peaks. Regarding the argument that Lukaku is the difference between fighting for the PL or not, I'm still looking for the Lukaku type in the City roster and find nothing. ZAPHOD2319 4,823
Kai is helped by having a dominate #9. Kai was never going to be that player for the team.
Magic Lamps 11,692
Weird inter did not accept Alonso or zappacosta in the deal. Exactly the players they need. Let’s hope someone buys them outright
milka 3,398
Would be weird if they replace Hakimi with Zappacosta - obviously they want clean big money without our deadwoods

ZAPHOD2319 4,823
I think Lukaku will score and will open opportunities for others to score including Kai.

Jase 43,479
Saw someone mention that we create more chances than Inter and decided to check the stats for some inkling on things. Different league and all but ironically, Inter's xG was higher than ours last season - 74.8 v 64. That Inter xG was also higher than Man City and Liverpool. And all that despite Inter having less shots than us, City and Liverpool. OneMoSalah
Jase 43,479
Tuchel on getting a top class ST: "With the exit of Olivier Giroud, we could use a player who plays with their back to goal and it means we can add this direct style of play. It's the sort of profile we don't have in the squad that can be useful. But not for any cost and not panic. Whatever happens, we will be competitive and we have trust in our guys. We have young players in the offensive part of the game that we demand improve. We are relaxed and aware of our situation at the same time." It's like wanting to replace an old Volvo with a Ferrari/Lamborghini, and ending up with a Corvette. Don't think I have to spell out who is who in the above analogy.
