Three of the top four are doing their business early, while the fourth [us] fucking flounder about, not knowing what the fuck to do.

Where's the CB? we need, where's the GK? we need, where's the established CF? we need

Shows the way the club has gone...no awareness or ambition really atm...

I'm not having a pop here but you can see what the club are doing and they are being very cute about, all the eggs right now are in the Delap basket. 30M for a striker is nothing now a days, they will be praying he can be what we need so it doesn't force them to go into the market again for another forward. We know the way this board and owners think by now, and I really like what I see with Delap already but behind him or alongside him however you want to look at it is Jackson, and with his temperament and the fact he's not very good anyway they look at this big picture as pure money saving. They want to be the ones that tell us they nailed it with Delap, and I hope to god he is and they prove us wrong, but it's their jobs to see the big picture and right now I'd move Jackson on and bring in another striker.

Exactly, it's clear that we need a proper CB, GK and backup LB heading into next season and yet there are no serious links to any of those positions.

I'm surprised that the club hasn't bid on Guehi at Palace (hope he doesn't get signed by Liverpool).

I’m not sure this Santos situation is reflective of the ownership or Maresca. Santos just needs to be better than the backup players in midfield. We currently are loaded with midfielders. I’m paying more attention to how they handle our academy players that have earned starts and are now significant market value.

You just know the writing is on the wall for Santos. Too many briefs about his future coming out.. they are preparing us for his eventual sale. Scumbag owners.

Why are they briefs? At what point are people going to stop listening to everything from twitter like it’s gospel truth. More likely these twitter lying bastards have realised Chelsea fans are mostly dumb cunts who believe anything that is written (click bait) and the fans are the fish that keep on biting

You don’t think these mainstream journos like Fabrizio, Ben Jacobs, Matt Law ect aren’t on the payroll of many clubs being briefed on what to spin to the fans next???

Are you seriously saying that?

No, the agents maybe but not the clubs, Matt law is done for Chelsea, Ben Jacob’s reports for talk sport which we know is shite, fabrizio is a genius as he’s made a fantastic career out of been wrong as much as he’s right

I don't know so I can't rule out the possibility that what you say is correct. I wouldn't expect that it is however. I think it's more likely that clubs and journalists have a mutually beneficial relationship. The journos understand that they are being used but go along because the information they pass along still drives clicks, readership, viewership, etc. The clubs on the other hand understand that they can't always feed the journalist rubbish because that erodes credibility. If the journalist lacks credibility then it limits the impact of any information leaked through that journo. I can imagine conversations happening along the lines o, "Come on give me two hours head start on the real news when you get it, after all I put out three things for you in the last period of time even though I knew they were just plants."  - "Sorry, I can't give you 2 hours because you know I've got to keep up relationships with other people too. I will give you 30 minutes though as a thank you."

I just find it fucking tragic and bizarre that after playing three games in the CWC we haven't given Santos hardly a kick of the ball yet half of Europe are chasing one of the best performing players in Europe last season.

If we let Santos go, which it looks like we will it will be nothing but tragic and could be Salah and KdB levels

We won’t let him go I don’t think, CWC to us is a glorified pre season, but to the club it is money and cash is king, the club will want us to go as far as possible in this competition to earn more cash! Maresca has already said he needs time to learn how we play, regardless of if we all think he’s a cunt, the fact is he’s not going to pick some one who doesn’t know the system if he’s been told I needs to go as far as you can! You stick to what you know
