Eze has a 68M clause, yet we are about to buy Gittens for 55M, Eze has now been added to Arsenal's list of targets...

You couldn't make this up, you really couldn't

That's a shame. The only explanation why we haven't even considered Eze could be they see him as a central player and we do have Enzo + Palmer there.

And as of right now an injury to Enzo is more of a worry than Palmer being injured.

And as for Eze...we wouldn't pay the extra 3/4M for Maignan so what world I am living in to think we we pay an extra 13M for Eze I don't know

A deal between Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund regarding Jamie Gittens is imminent.

Chelsea will pay the FULL asking price of €65m [£55m].

(@BILD)

Xavi/ Eze/ Morgan Rogers for ~£70m >>> Gittens for £55m

If we wanted a youngster, why not Malick Fofana in a cut-price deal when Lyon have financial problems? The board is getting another summer wrong after a promising start.

Gittens is far more tailored to Maresca’s football than either of those 3.

Gittens is actually the ideal Maresca winger.

Kinda feels like gittens is getting a lot of unjust hate and I don’t believe for a second most of it is from people who have spent time watching him play, more the fact he’s from Germany

The cash cows SD's will be all over this

Apparently that Waltomede 7ft Peter Crouch fella has agreed to go to Bayern

To play second fiddle to Kane all season?

You have to wonder who advises players nowadays. There's more than just cash.

I see the "pure profit" doing the rounds ago. If more stupid deals are entertained, we might as well forget about our academy & just stand outside City's instead.

Agree. Players will only lose value if they are on the fringes/loan-loop.

There's a better chance of dislodging an aging Kane than there is of jumping ahead of Delap and Jackson who are a similar age profile.

Another day of fuck all happening. Tomorrow we’ll get our daily “Chelsea and Dortmund had another good meeting on Gittens” and then fuck all will probably happen again.

Then once we do finally sign him (for ridiculous money) who knows how long it’s going to take for our next target.

We see this a lot now and it's becoming more of a theme where we seem to drag transfer negotiations out for weeks and weeks and before we know the window is about to shut and the new player/s have no time to bed in and it's just frankly bad planning

How any team can go to the last minutes of the window for transfers and get deals done is beyond me, it should never ever get to that unless a major injury to a key player has just happened or something out of anyone's control. To scramble around last minute is nothing but bad ownership and leadership for me
