That is the thing, I like him. He is a jack of all trades and is very good at linking up with players, but for the money being touted, it baffles me. He does not blow me away. Good player. Top class? No. And we have similar players to him already. He is often good when he is playing of a target man, such as Delap which may be in the thought process too and he has more pace than likes of Nkunku, Felix, Palmer so probably makes us more fluid but think anything above £50m is way too much.

I feel there's been no mention of his antics, though. We've gone crazy at Jackson for them in recent months, but have been seen what Pedro got away with last season?

There's having that "bull" about you, and there's consistently going over the line. More eyes will be on him if he makes the move, so we all know these misdemeanours will be punished.

Yeah, all the data and statistics I see posted all over Twitter with Gittens says he’s one of the best around for his age even if the eye test is polarizing.

The problem of course is Bundesliga + not playing for Chelsea. Those numbers are likely to tank while being 2v1'd. The plus side is it might be another player that requires 2v1 defending and occupies players to free up space in the middle.

That’s what I’m asking. We won’t know until we either hear from Maresca after we’ve signed him or once he actually plays.

Is he being seen as a left forward? If so, £60m seems insane when we’re also buying Gittens for the left at £55m. Is he being seen as a striker? We’ve got Delap and Jackson so when does he play?

The only spot that makes some sense is in behind Delap or Jackson in a 2 striker system. But then how to you fit Palmer, Gittens, and Neto in at the same time? You don’t.

Don't need to fit them all but agree with the logic - instead of spending 100m on Gittens and Neto in successive summers, we might as well have signed an elite winger by paying over the odds

Even though there's Liverpool interest, we could be in the conversation for Guehi because of his time here, familiarity with Colwill + the fact that he is keen to be playing regularly in a WC year. Not sure he fancies rotating with Konate at Liverpool.

Hope we get this level of winger play again some day:

What a player. I remember when it was announced we was signing him and I was elated. I just knew he was going to be a star here. It is funny watching this video, he scored a few free kicks. Don't remember him scoring much free kicks for us if at all. He scored one in an FA Cup game against City but not much other than that. So many memories. If I had to pick my favourite Hazard game for us, I probably am going for the 3-0 win against Newcastle where he scored a hattrick. All brilliant goal, including the penalty. The performance at Stadium of Light against Sunderland is a close call too.

What a nonsense signing like usual, could've put a bit more and get an absolute baller like Xavi, most underwhelming big signings I've ever seen.

He is good on the left, Gittens just got a much harder way to get first team minutes

Another rumoured signing that I can't get hyped for. Him & Gittens just seem like middle of the line buys.

Right now, neither of them elevate up.
