Don’t really see the point of stockpiling wingers again after we just got rid of a few. Same with midfielders. Olise also does not score goals - at least assists some. But for the price it is worth a shot. Just sad to think how many of our wingers and cms will have their career ruined by sitting on our bench watching Sterling stumbling balls into the side netting. And so we don’t allow a desperate, begging Liverpool a chance to dramatically raise their bid and wage offer to Lavia to turn his head again. We all know exactly how this new, Declan Rice-less West Ham will play. They’ll want to be super physical, high energy, and lots of direct play to try to rattle us. Not that this comes as surprise as all our big signings are usually either injured, coming off a big injury or injure themselves badly shortly after signing for us. But for us to STILL push ahead with his signing rather than get someone like Kudus or Cherki who are ready to go right away it must mean they have absolute faith that he’ll recover fully. And they better be right if he’s getting a massively long contract!
