Al this talk of MDL and whoever else.

It makes me wonder if we should have done more to keep Rudi...one of the best CB's in the world and still been cheaper.

Well...the people who made that mistake have moved on.

The club is paying the price for that.

No-one can be annoyed at the club if we put in the exact same bid as Bayern and he chooses them. It is what it is.

No.

But we should get annoyed if they haven't  scoped out a decent plan B target.

If that plan B is Ake then I would be more than annoyed.

In your opinion Ake is a definition of a plan B target which is perfectly fine.

Tuchel however might view him differently and if he’s available at a lower cost and if the MDL move doesn’t come to fruition then Ake it is.

Also, if the rumors are true and Sterling is going to be the highest earner in the squad,  I hope we don't try to lowball Mount and James with their contact renewals.

Could end up in another ugly situation like how Lukakus wages ended up pissing off players like Rudiger.

I seen this on twitter and thought it was real at first, if it isnt, its a good photoshop effort

I remember 8 years ago there was a leaked photo of Fabregas holding Chelsea kit and majority of TC members claimed how bad photoshop it was, then few hours later same photo was posted in the official announcment :)

We'll see, I hope we seal this deal shortly.

Ruben Dias was signed for 65m no?

And they want 85m for De Ligt.

Get real.

Dias went for 61m plus add ons aswell as City sent them Otamendi as part of the deal.different signing players from Portugal’s big 3 than big 4 in Italy tho.In Portugal they have a regular flow of South American young talent in part because they accept they are stepping stones to bigger things. In Italy they tend to believe they are the best even though been a while since they were top in Europe.

Dias is better than de Ligt at present but  if compare how rated he was when he joined City compared to de Ligt now then probably not.

if looking at Portugal for reasonably priced CB’s Inacio has a 39m release close and Wolves are reportedly trying to get him for 30m.but if we sign CB’s that can play LCB then i’d personally be looking at those that can slide over to replace Silva if we persist longterm with the back 3 and i’m not sure if Inacio has that.

Anyone who cries about only being offered 100k a week or whatever to play sport is an ungrateful loser who shouldn’t be here anyway.
but yeh you need to be careful as these guys are all greedy and could end up in trouble

Bayern are already have an agreement with De Ligt. Bayern intention is to move closer to Juventus' asking price. Juventus are unwilling to sell below €90m. Bayern haven't made an official offer yet, but it's only a matter of time.
