but I doubt they will do it, they are short (atm only, that 1 billion euro rehabbed giant stadium will start to kick in £75m or more per annum extra revenue eventually) in terms of liquidity

Why are we even talking about AC. No way the club will use a CB, a position in which we are barely covered as a makeweight to get a luxury signing in a position in which we are. AC is surely gonna sign a new contract and stay.

If Christensen is a liability in a back 4, then so is Rudiger. Both of them have done their best work in a back 3, first under Conte and then Tuchel.

Rudiger though looked decent in a back four at Roma. But yes both Rudiger and Christensen are in another level in a back three.

if he was, he would have been gone long ago

I did my fair share of ripping him, but he has so, so turned it all around

he stepped into the biggest pressure cooker almost possible (maybe short of a WC Final)

and dominated against a monster offensive team worth well over £1.5b in a non covid market, after taking over for Thiago

Until there is an evident that suggest Christensen did well in a back four, it mostly only a speculation.

Hakimi also played a lot on the left for Dortmund, would be nice to have 2nd option there that can actually run.
