In that case, nobody will pay that money for him.

time will tell

I am going to pack it in with all the transfer speculation and suggestions.

All I see on the football interwebs (not this board) is a bunch of people getting paid to either guess or simply make shite up.

The players I rate are known here, I have made exhaustive lists and detailed posts about all of them.

I have nothing more to add until we start buying players, IF we even do.

I trust Tuchel and Cech to do what needs to be done.

We REALLY need to prune the deadweight as well.

Packed it in about 15 years ago.

People getting so excited about a report on Goal or Daily Heil -its just illiterate journos justifying their pay packet. People here playing fantasy football 'lets get so and so' it bullshit.

I just wait for the club announcements now

The issue with Haaland or Mbappe transfer is no matter how good they are, the fees along with the Agent fees and salary is going to be crazy. This will lay down template for all future "so called talent" and hard to acquire because the influx of revenue wouldnt go up like the fees are. Clubs needs to seriously start looking at this things and start capping.

Yes we are looking at so call superstar of the game but the money is insane and it can bleed out finances thus creating instability.

Youre right - problem with that is a few agents with 150 -200 top players on their books would start their own thing up, deals with broadcasters, and as weve seen, with their owners  try a another super league type thing.

Problem started with Jimmy Hill - he changed Modern Day Football He also went on to become chairman of the PFA. At the time when he took the job there was a wages cap on football players which meant that the maximum wage for a player was just £20.00 a week.  Hill  ended the cap whilst he was chairman of the PFA.

That was in 1961 🤣 but its led to where we are now

Another issue would be players like Mount, Havertz, James could demand huge pay raise in the future. Bayern currently suffer this situation with Goretzka and Kimmich want to receive the same salaries like Sane.

Today's age this wouldnt take 50 years but would escalate way faster in fact we already r seeing insane wages ... Barca (if what is going around if true) is a perfect example.

Precisely, financial instability and it is obvious. Best examples are our workplaces where we want to be at the same package as that of our peers so why wouldnt these players want the same at their workspaces.

I added Patrick Berger to my twitter feed. From what I read, he is the one BVB uses. Once he starts talking about the possibility of Haaland coming to Chelsea, it’s real. His latest tweet is not really encouraging, but not full stop either.

You wouldn't expect someone like Haaland who looks to be obsessed with being at peak physical condition would sacrifice any kind of preseason training to force a move. I still think its possible we sign him, I would just hate the club to draw it out, the good thing with Dortmund is they set the fee, pay it or don't, we saw that with Sancho last year. The stumbling block is and was always going to be his father and agent.

Maybe I'm just clinging onto the Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas summer, we literally had our business wrapped up so so so early then, it was bliss.
