Update:

With Alonso starting in the PL: 7 games 7 wins.

Without: 20 games 6 wins 5 draws 9 losses.

From 100% to 30% when he doesn't start.

4 at the back or 3 doesn't matter. Our best option. Another Frank's misjudged.

He played ok today but you can clearly see that he has such a low level of football IQ

Prepare for Conference football in a few years' time people because we're gonna lose every game when Alonso is gone...

Took his goal briliantly today. Have to admit maybe its time to bring him back to starting XI. After all he was a part of the team that made that winning run and did well against Spuds both times.

Emerson is a disappointment this season and Azpi just can't play LB.

Great goal, almost scored a worldie free-kick, but let's not forget the fact he was pretty abject defensively. He just gets away with it more in a 5-2-3 because one of the three CBs can save his ass.

With 4 at the back with Azpi as LB we concede regularly. 4 goals in two matches before this one. So we are not better team defensively without Alonso.

And he offers much more offensively so he has to play at least until summer.

Great game? He lost the ball in silly areas and was fortunate Spurs didn't captilise on his errors when they were at goal.

Honestly bar the goal he was still the liability he was.

How about great pass for Mount in the first half? How about free kick?

Great game from Alonso, hes been beyond frustrating in the past but anyone can see he has something to offer to our attack compared to Azpi and Emerson. Hopefully he starts more.

Only when it's a Mourinho team that park the bus.

Other then that against team like Bayern we get slaughter.

But yes against defensive mind team he is good to have.
