Tomo 21,754
Quote He's really bad at adapting game plan to the opponent, and truly awful at making subs adjusting things during the match. Also his "winning mentality" is too obsessive and it's apparent that he makes his lads nervous, not confident, in every big match. Specifically at Inter... we play a muscular 532 with scarce ball-playing qualities and simplistic off-the-ball movements, we don't have players that can dribble in tight space, we just hoof the ball up lacking precision and coesive build-up. We end up banging on the defensive wall against lesser teams that defend deep, while good teams easily outsmart and outpress us. From an Inter fan. Tell me you don't get Chelsea 17/18 vibes while reading that? So similar it's scary. 0007, Fernando, Vesper and 1 other
ZaynChelsea 423
Conte is such a toxic manager with a terrible CL record. Glad to have lost him. Feel sorry for the amazing Internazionale club and fans.

Wait, I thought Inter play beautiful passing football!? Someone here was going gaga over the way they do that because of the highlights! Inter were really hopeless yesterday. They just kept dumping cross after cross after cross into the box, rarely finding the target, and kept taking pot shots from distance. The one rare time someone got a clean header from a cross, Lukaku cleared it for Shakhtar! No composure, no quality, no ingenuity to break Shakhtar down and it's the same side that Inter thrashed 5-0 only back in August. And after the game, Conte actually complained about these sides always change their style and sit back to defend against his sides. What frustrated me back then was that Conte never deviated from his back 3 system and it's still the same case now. He sticks with it all the time, even when he needs to chase the game, even when the opposing team only play with 1 striker. At their best, Conte's teams can be fun to watch - as we saw in 2016/17 - but if they aren't, then his sides can be too functional and predictable and look clueless. Also doesn't help that Conte himself has a weird obsession with getting hard working but very average players. killer1257 3,282
Lukaku bottled it. Inter should have won 1:0,but Lukaku blocked a shot from Sanchez, which would have gone in. Lukaku's offside awareness is horrible. He will never reach world class level becaise of his many flaws on his game Also, in minute 88,he bottled again and prevented another goal with his big head. Despite the fact he repeatedly bottles it when it matters most he was still kept out there while Lautaro (a striker that actually is potentially world class if not already there) got hauled off. killer1257

Hardly a surprise considering Conte has built Inter around Lukaku.

NikkiCFC 8,528
Now 8 Seria A wins in a row. Top of the table. No Europe distraction. No chance he bottles this?

Jase 43,479
Conte really has NO excuse to not win the league this season. Milan are becoming inconsistent and Juve are 7 points behind and being inconsistent.

Wouldn't say “no excuse” when AC Milan are only 4 points off and there is still games against Napoli, Roma and Juventus to be played for Inter. Plus Milan have Ibra, the man who seems to be defying age, who is more than capable of bringing them back to the top if Inter do drop points (Ibra is already a huge reason why they probably are up there this season). Inter are in the driving seat yes but saying he has no excuse would be like indicating they are 15-20 points clear or even in the position Man City are in. Its between the Milan teams for the title though, Juventus are out of it unless they amass some sort of huge run but can’t see it and Pirlo seems to be out of his dept slightly but when you have Ronaldo, anything is also possible. I hope Conte and Inter win it though, he is a top top manager, probably the best in Italy by a mile and think once he gets a first trophy they will kick on if they stick with him. I'm saying he has no excuse because Inter only have the Serie A left to contend with, meaning Conte has the entire week to prepare for games until the end of the season (we have seen the benefit of that ourselves), and they have also invested heavily in the squad last summer. Milan still have the Europa League and Ibrahimovic or not, I doubt they have enough to be consistent till the very end (they have also lost 3 of their last 5 league games). Pretty much everything seems to be falling in line for Conte and Inter, especially with Juventus also floundering. If Conte doesn't win the league, especially after the Champions League failure, he'll likely get the sack.
