i am kind of awed by the board. but honestly,

do you think jose is the man to take us forward?

if we dont get CL or even european spt (both of which seem very likely), do u think jose is the person who can take the team forward while integrating youth.

look at what he has done with RLC. for 2 weeks (international break), all he said was RLC is ready, he is ready and he is ready. villa, kiev, whu and even stoke in league cup and RLC has played a total of 45 minutes while how many minutes has someone like cesc got. even the slightest bit of a problem and all he can do is go back to his "untouchables" even if they are a totally out of form cesc and hazard or an inconsistent matic.

our attacking play is so poor that we actually have not scored a goal from an attacking move in 6 matches.

there is no youth integration and i doubt there ever will be with jose. we would rather buy papy than give kalas/omeruo a chance. we would rather play the worst player in PL, at that moment, than try something with baba. i mean, i just cant see a positive right now considering what our situation is going to be next season and the foreseeable future with jose at the fore.

I think and believe that the board is playing smart specially with our history of sacking managers. The board might have accepted the fact that this is going to be a poor season maybe outside top 4 and if there is anyone who can revive us it will be Jose and no one else ... Showing faith in Jose will help us score some brownie points within the Managers community and they could be a change of opinion abt us.

Is Jose the man to take us forward? Well I was in awe when he came over and started talking differently; Keywords: Long terms, Youth, Attacking style. The question i posed to myself then was, has he actually changed and is he really gonna do what he said ... To be honest, I had hope but then we know what happened. I dont think he has really evolved in his tactics, he can still win u trophies till the club keeps feeding him good players but building something ... i have my doubts. I guess he is not aligned with what the board/owner wants currently and that is not a good thing.

The board is only backing him so far because they fucked up with that 4 years deal at the start of the season. The 30+ million pounds aside, the board of any top English team in our position would have fired their manager by now.

The last 2 managers given full time contracts had a clause in it so we wouldn't make the same mistake as before with shelling out millions for sacking managers early in their contracts, why not the same for Jose?

Difference is in their poor run they still play good attacking football against most of the smaller sides and end up finishing 2nd, in a word if he was sacked last season that would have been comparable to our 10-11 season sacking of Carlo not Jose now.
