The Mourinho Thread

Chelsea continue to insist otherwise They insist the support remains for Mourinho and that they did not take the unprecedented step of backing their manager publically three weeks ago lightly. The statement was meant and still holds, they say, so it cannot be discounted.

That article is terrible. It suggests it's everyone else's fault but Jose. It even goes as far as to say it wasn't his fault that he called Wenger a specialist in failure and it wasn't his fault for acting the way he did towards Eva as if Jose is merely a puppet with some Deus Ex Machina pulling the string.

'Kinhell if you agree with article you might as well lap up Jose's piss

another view of things from the independanthttp://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/jose-mourinho-in-defence-of-the-chelsea-manager-who-should-not-be-sacked-no-matter-the-result-a6709261.html

seeing a few articles appearing to support him rather than castigate him ( like a few on here ) at every opportunity.

Wonder if the club has been in touch with a few of these media hacks threatening them with a banning order from SB etc etc

Indeed, he was spot on:

"There is a theory that Mourinho is trying to engineer his own sacking by his increasingly provocative behaviour. I do not buy it. I do not think, either, that Mourinho’s pronouncements and actions are as thought through as others have claimed. Instead he is simply lashing out."

from the article in the independant comparing several years into Fergusons reign when he also courted the FA several times and paid for their Christmas bash

"Sir Alex Ferguson had a bleak three-year spell at Manchester United when he failed to win the Premier League, failed to get to the quarter-finals of the Champions League and had fans and the media calling for his head. He won just one FA Cup in that time. But Ferguson turned it around and went on to win another five Premier League titles and the Champions League, retiring as one of the greatest managers world football has ever seen.

At the very least, Mourinho deserves until the end of the season to prove that he can turn it around at Stamford Bridge. "

Look I get the support but unless you've coached at a high level you don't understand the ramifications of losing the locker room. It has nothing to do with a coaches skill as a manager but rather everything to do with belief in the undertaking. If the team doesn't believe in the undertaking you're done. The signs are as clear as day that Jose has lost the room and therefore can no longer remain as the manager.

If Mourinho stays he will do irreparable harm to Chelsea, which may include losing Hazard and other players, failing to qualify for any European tournament, and in the worst case scenario Chelsea getting relegated.
