The Mourinho Thread

The Mail and The Sun are both reporting it's a done deal after Roman and Jose had dinner had a rather nice Italian restaurant last night. Apparently it won't be announced before July 1st which means we could be managerless for about a month..... :carlo::carlo:

It'll probably take Mourinho that long to negotiate his compensation with Madrid. He's a smart man.

Well, La Liga only finishes on June 1st and Madrid have a cup final in a few weeks.

If only Mourinho got to the CL final with the Madrid, win it and then announce immediately he's returning here in our second home. Shame.

It's gonna be surreal for him going up against Steve Clark, AVB & Brendan Rodgers.

Looking back.. I was more distraught about Mourinho leaving than when we lost the CL final. Even though yes, things had turned sour.. it was still devastating, and I remember the moment and what I was doing when sky announced it.

Never a dull moment at this club, but the return of Jose' would be grandiose.

I'm one who actually believes he'll come back even if we do miss out on CL. He'll still get he cash to spend, still have a great squad of current players to work with, and we'd be prohibitive favorites to win the Europa League. It's only a year.

We'd certainly be more competitive in the league without so many competitions.

Still praying we do make it though!

Ferguson: "He said he is loved by one English team and going back is a big attraction for him."

Villas-Boas: "‘I am pretty sure the decision has already been taken. It seems that he is happy to return to England and Chelsea are one of the clubs who are looking for a manager and it seems very, very likely that he will end up there."

These quotes make me more certain about this than any media report. Only way I can see Mourinho not coming is if we don't finish in the top4 but other than that it's as good as a done deal.

Mourinho: "It's an honor HAVING BEEN the manager of the Real Madrid who stopped Barcelona hegemony"

"Perhaps I didn't do enough but there are La Liga records that are mine and no one can take them from me"

"My biggest regret of the last 3 years? I regret that I did not go out and sign Diego López earlier"

"Problems come up when someone thinks to be above others.I had no problem with players who instead felt at same level". Casillas?

I'm seeing people now say that MARCA are reporting that he'll remain at Madrid for another year.

:( I hope that's not true.

Don't belive that my friend, they said that CR7 was a Barça player the same summer that he went to Real Madrid, that Casillas will join Barça, Atletico would play with Cavani and Falcao upfront..

He basically poured gasoline on the flames by saying he regrets he didn't sign Diego Lopez a year ago. Believe me, he's as good as gone and where he ends up remains the only question.

Jose Mourinho yet to make decision on Real Madrid future

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8687216/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho insists that he has not made a decision over where he will ply his trade next season.

The Portuguese strongly hinted after Tuesday's Champions League exit at the hands of Borussia Dortmund that he wants to return to Chelsea by declaring that he is "loved" in England - in contrast to Spain, where he believes people "hate" him.

But, speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's Primera Division game at home to Real Valladolid, Mourinho claimed nothing was certain yet.

"It's not worth talking about if I go or not," he said. "If I go, I will not give explanations.

"I'm working with total professionalism and I still have the same honour and pleasure to work for this club as I did a month or two ago.

"I have not taken the decision yet. First to know will be my wife and my children. Then the president (Florentino Perez) and director general (Jose Angel Sanchez).

"I'm working with total professionalism and I still have the same honour and pleasure to work for this club as I did a month or two ago. I have not taken the decision yet."

Failure to beat Valladolid at the Bernabeu would open the door for Barcelona to regain the Primera Division title by beating Real Betis on Sunday night.

"Finishing second in the league is not what we want but it is better than finishing third," the 50-year-old added. "We want to win as many points as possible."

Mourinho had been aiming to become the first coach to win the Champions League with three clubs following his successes with Porto and Inter Milan.

Their 4-3 aggregate loss to Dortmund - which came despite a 2-0 win in Tuesday's home leg - put paid to such ambitions, though, leaving the Portuguese to reflect: "I just want Real Madrid to win the Champions League, either with or without me."

Whether he stays or goes in the summer, Mourinho expressed his desire for compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo to remain in the Spanish capital.

"Players must be completely dedicated to and focused on their clubs," he said. "I hope that Cristiano plays here for many more years."

Ronaldo is doubtful for Saturday's game with a thigh strain, while defender Sergio Ramos could miss out after suffering a hamstring problem against Dortmund. Mourinho will also be without Alvaro Arbeloa and Marcelo through injury and their fellow defender Raul Albiol due to suspension

Mourinho continues to tease, tease and tease but he's definitely sending out the signals that he will be leaving...

Tancredi Palmeri @tancredipalmeri

Here it is. These words say everything. Mourinho: "It's an honour HAVING BEEN the manager of the Real Madrid who stopped Barcelona hegemony"

Literally. "Mr Mourinho, don't you want to stay to win the Champions League for Real Madrid?" Mourinho: "I just want that Madrid will win it"
