MrBlueGuy 1,552
SORRY but Jose will NEVER change ,, just hope he learns from HIS mistakesKnowing him, probably thought we did OK and was unlucky to lose. Same formula to be used next season when we play a big team, I hope we get a Barcelona in the last 16 and at home 1st so he can't do the bs approach of parking it away and go for it at home anymore. zolayes

petre.ispirescu 4,928
Stop moaning like little bitches and face the reality. He is to blame, ok, but so are the players. In Paris, Cavani was THE ONLY PSG player in a box full of Chelsea shirts and still scored a free header. David Luiz came unmarked and scored a free header. Thiago Silva won the aerial battle even though he was 11m away from the net.Jose is to blame for the shambolic approach in the final third. But the goals the team conceded is a total lack of concentration, communication and organisation. Three goals was enough for Chelsea to go trough if it wasn't for that poor defensive display.JT, a true legend for this club, Ivanovic, Cahill, Courtois. They are to blame, too. They are supposed to command the box and unfortunately they didn't over these two legs. Maybe, I say maybe, Thiago Silva's goal could not have been avoided as it was a superb finish and he completely dominated Terry in the air, but there is no excuse for the other two. Defensive errors worth of a team like Arsenal or Liverpool. didierforever, Kezza, darrus and 1 other
OneMoSalah 9,121
Mourinho got it wrong for me with his team selection. Ramires should have been in the pivot next to Matic, Cesc should have been on the bench and Willian or Cuadrado should have been on the right wing. Tactically, he did okay. Okay, it was far from a masterclass, but he was sensible. People on here are talking like we can take risks because life is like FIFA 15 and we can instantly change mentality from "Park the Bus" to "All-out Attack". It doesn't work like that. Mourinho will rarely win a knockout tie through beautiful football. He plays percentages and does what he has to. That involves nicking goals and defending like our lives depend on it. But sometimes things backfire and the reverse comes to fruition. We just got done by the better team tonight, a team that wanted it more than us. Yes you can say Mourinho should have fired up the players, but if you can't motivate yourself to play in a UCL knockout fixture you do not deserve to play for this club. The team were underwhelming today and totally choked on the big stage, which is becoming a usual occurrence this season.Mourinho really did get it wrong though, perhaps as much as the players choked, Mourinho also choked.PSG went down to 10 men and we just let them dominate. No reaction at all, no real major chance in emphasis from the team at all. You can't expect to play against 10 men and get dominated if you are as good a team as we are, even if it is PSG, it seemed like he was more concerned about trying to play like we did in France but at home where any PSG away goal would put us in bother. A few years back he did this sort of approach against Man United with Real Madrid in the CL but as soon as Nani was sent off, within a few minutes, Modric was on and the dynamic of the team changed, the full backs got forward more and they kept the ball more and ultimately won the game. zolayes

Popular Post! The Chels 2,502 Posted March 11, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted March 11, 2015 By the way, how did jose "get it wrong" when the players could not press psg high and kept getting sliced open time and again coa cesc and rambo and hazard though that this was just a training session. Just think that he wanted us to attack and go all out but the players let him down completely. I think he did, going from the replays. Hard to say unless you were there and next to the dugout, but it appeared as if he was gesticulating for the midfield to press more. They obviously weren't just ignoring the manager's instructions. Did you ever see Costa ignore Simeone's instructions to press? No it would never happen to him and it wouldn't happen with Jose either. If he wanted Costa and the midfield to press and play with more intensity then they would have but he clearly didn't. Even the pressing we used right at the start of the game seemed pretty half-arsed to me. PSG played around it so easily and still got into dangerous positions but that happens very often so it's not just the players at fault. Stop moaning like little bitches and face the reality. He is to blame, ok, but so are the players. In Paris, Cavani was THE ONLY PSG player in a box full of Chelsea shirts and still scored a free header. David Luiz came unmarked and scored a free header. Thiago Silva won the aerial battle even though he was 11m away from the net.Whose decision was it not to double up on the widemen when they were in dangerous positions? The vast majority of their goalscoring opportunities (including resulting corners) over the two legs came came as a result of our FBs being far too narrow and our apparent willingness to defend 1v1 and allow crosses in even though we could not cope with them. This was also an issue in the West Ham game (and plenty others this season). It is a tactical fault so yes Jose is to blame. Defensive errors worth of a team like Arsenal or Liverpool. Mourinho is responsible for preparing the team mentally as well. The defensive errors are as a result of a poor mental approach to a big game, a combination of fear and cautiousness. The reality is (1) Not for the first or last time this season, we've looked worse after the half time team talk than before it.(2) Anytime a result is in our favour against a good team, we retreat to our shells and surrender possession to them even against 10 players, a'la City and now PSG.It's the manager's job to ensure these things don't happen, but they keep happening time and time again, leading me question the competence of the man in charge. zolayes

Hybrid Angel 2,130
As I said previously, he is the one who built this team and HE is the one who is preventing it from reaching its potential. This is what the likes of Wenger struggle with: Stubbornness. Wenger likes to attack attack and attack despite getting bad results. Mourinho hasn't learned his lesson this season. How many times did we lose a lead playing this way? What on earth was he thinking when he instructed the players not to press against a 10 men psg side at home? Who knows, maybe one day, one day, we will be able to see us to change our big game mentality with attacking and positive intent.Today we lost to Jose's fear, not Luiz and Silva's headers. zolayes
HRiver 1,512
Can't help but feel that reality has hit Abramovich real hard in the face this time around, he knows this team isn't likely to play the football he dreams of at this point. Abramovich wants to win and he wants to win well, this is the same frustrating and predictable Chelsea we've been witnessing for years. Can't see Mourinho making drastic changes to his approach + this team is just really not that good.As someone said in another thread winning the league title with this team would be a massive success, hopefully that will attract some players for next season. Popular Post! supporter 3,088 Posted March 12, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted March 12, 2015 If Jose is the culprit only today... Jose will be solely responsible when we win Premier League in May?. NO, Here we win and we lose ALL TOGETHER.I do not know, but when a bad result comes, Jose is a bastard. However, when we have a good result many people say that Jose has won little trophies which are not important. We are a team. Jose may go in the future, but he is important in our history. Roman may go in the future, but he is important in our history part. John Terry may go in the future, but he is important in our history. This may not be "Mourinho is good and Chelsea is shit". Or "Mourinho is a shit, and Chelsea is good". NO, we are all together in the same boat. If we do not paddled together, we are going to sink. When we win in May our fifth Premier League, I'll be here celebrating. But if we lose this Premier League in May, I'll be here paddling with more force than ever. And I know I'm not alone in this.Goodnight to ALL.Regards. Parky 739
Again another massive tactical error when PSG went to 10 men. Jose turns to his usual negative Russian roulette football. I think he seriously needs someone to fkn wake him up and let him know he needs to be more progressive with his approach to football. Our football atm is totally clueless, negative and boring as bat shit. The irony is that we have so much talent at our disposal. 11Drogba
Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
wow so much descension. Look, Jose got it wrong, he rode his luck and it caught up to him. We played awful today and the team played his tactics, we deserved to go out and Jose will have to answer that. He's still the guy for me, this is awful but not inexcusable, he needs to learn from this and get the balance right again... We never looked like scoring and we always looked like conceding, he has to come to grips with the fact that if he's gonna play Cesc we have to be on the front foot. iseah100 and kellzfresh
