Fernando 6,585
Lets not jump the wagon like TX did by calling Mourinho a traitor prematurely. Mourinho has not even been appointed and he has been link with a whole new squad. As far as any real news, is the news that is common sense. We need someone in the mid, and a top striker. calculatingInfinity

Hutcho 8,443
I haven't kept an eye on football matters recently, so forgive me for not knowing, but has Mourinho's appointment been confirmed? I see people talking about him as our manager already, if this is the case, why can't I find anything on the official website? No though everyone assumes it.Pundits, players, fans, journalists, nothing official but everyone just assumes it is done... I know i find it weird as well.
Henrique 9,133
ChelsTransferGossip @ChelsTransfer13h Luka Modric could follow Jose Mourinho out of the Santiago Bernabeu if Real Madrid agree to sell the Croatian midfielder (Times) #CFC #RMCF ChelsTransferGossip @ChelsTransfer13h Jose Mourinho believes that Chelsea need a first-choice central defender, a central midfielder and a centre-forward (Times) #CFC ChelsTransferGossip @ChelsTransfer13h Jose Mourinho is prepared to consider offers for David Luiz who is open to a move to the Camp Nou and valued at about £35m (Times) #CFC #FCB ChelsTransferGossip @ChelsTransfer13h Mourinho will have control over the restructuring of #CFC squad which was one of the factors in his departure from Stamford Bridge (Times) I dont know whos the one behind this twitter account, but I read The Times article, and there is no mention about Luiz, in fact the article was wrote by Duncan Castles:"Jose Mourinho has agreed a four-year contract to manage Chelsea for a second time. A winner of back-to-back Premier League titles in his first stint at the London club, Mourinho will become the best paid manager in the competition's history, earning an annual salary of over £8.5million after tax. Mourinho's return to the place “where people love me to be” was sealed during discussions with Chelsea's billionaire owner last week. According to sources involved in the deal, while his new contract is still to be formally signed, the plan is to do so soon after the Portuguese's final match as Real Madrid manager on June 1. He will have control over the restructuring of Chelsea’s squad, which was one of the factors in his departure from Stamford Bridge in September 2007. Though the aim is to recover a Premier League title won just once since that exit, Mourinho’s planned changes are less radical than expected. He is working on dual recruitment strategies — one on a tighter budget with transfer fees for new signings to be funded primarily by sales and the second requiring an injection of new funds by Abramovich. Mourinho believes that Chelsea need a first-choice central defender, a central midfielder and a centre-forward. He will also add a back-up to Petr Cech — who will remain first-choice goalkeeper with the Belgium international Thibaut Courtois allowed to continue his development on loan — and at least one younger midfielder. An approach has been made to Robert Lewandowski, who is entering the final year of his contract at Borussia Dortmund. While the Champions League finalists are prepared to sell their leading scorer to Chelsea, Manchester City, AC Milan or Madrid for €20m to keep Lewandowski out of the hands of Bayern Munich, the Polish striker has told his overseas suitors that he has already agreed to move to the new German league champions. At centre-back, the powerful France Under-21 international Eliaquim Mangala is considered ideally suited to the demands of the English game, although FC Porto’s €35m asking price may force Chelsea to look elsewhere. Luka Modric could follow Mourinho out of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium if Madrid agree to sell the Croatian midfielder." manpe 10,861
Just imagine if Mou decide to sell Hazard or Mata..The board wouldn't allow to sell Hazard, signing him was of great importance to the club, in every sense. Signing him was the most important victory after winning the CL, it stamped our authority even further. He has the potential of becoming the next Torres in marketing sense. Henrique 9,133
edit: This was not the full article, I've checked this twitter account:Duncan Castles @DuncanCastles1mJose Mourinho ready to sell David Luiz and Fernando Torres if money is right. #CFC #FCB #LFC #RMCFI have to say I'm not sure if I believe in this guy. First I dont believe Mourinho will have more control than he had years ago, ad the article suggest.Second, I really dont know how Mourinho is already ready to sell players, when he even dont know whats the squad situation, and thats why I'm no sure Mourinho already knows he needs 3 players. We complain that the likes of Torres and Mikel are sucking us financialy while playing shit, surely that should apply to Essien, who even after 5 years of unable to perform, still somehow gets payed good wages and used by top clubs. Its grating to see him get back in the team despite giving us nothin what so ever. His value by some is being overblown so much its not even funny anymore. 2 decent seasons, thats all he gave us. Yet becuase his play was based on power peope seem to think it was a god send.

Mak was the best, but Essien is definitely 2nd, and it's funny how you rate Mikel, because Mikel is nowhere near those two and never will be.2 seasons, you're blind mate, even when his knee caps first went he was a good player for us, it was only till carlo's 2nd season he couldn't handle it anymore, still gave alot more to the team than most of our signings. Kinol 337
Well, I think we all know that one of the first things Mouinho will do when/if he comes here is to stabilize our defence. We all know that David Luiz got those moments when he does whatever he wants and that might be the reason why Jose doesnt see him as part of his plans. I also think Mourinho wants to create a good and consistent cb partnership which we dont have right now. I dont know how many different partnerships Rafa has been using during his time here. yuvala

Won the title without him though.10/11 - Apart from the first month, he was god awful.11/12 - Injured for most of it and was liability when he played. Could not say he played a big rle in our CL success.Again, two season where he was good, but is probaby one of most overrated players to wear a Chelsea shirt. Waterfall 893
Regardless of the validity of the article, I am of the opinion that ANYONE could go for the right price, and £35M for Luiz would be just that. If it did happen, I'd be sad to see him go, but £35M is a significant amount that screams overvaluation from the buyer. LDN Blue
