The Mourinho Thread

Listen, this is going to be the end for Mourinho. Mark my words here. We all know why he is taking this job. He is not coming back to prove us that he's still got it, he is coming back to go to war against Chelsea and Guardiola and this thirst of his for revenge is going to be the last nail in his coffin. We have a phrase here in Romania that sounds like this - "Revenge is a stupid man's weapon".

He is sick and won't change. Maybe at first he will behave, but when paranoia hits him and Guardiola gets inside his head, he is finished. Guardiola is going to rip him into pieces.

Tony Pulis with money, the self proclaimed "special one" is back to spoil Guardiola's 1st season in EPL, but boy he is going to look like an absolute clown. Can't wait for it.

I don't know but to me I don't see neither Mourinho nor pep dominating the league for many years to come.

This league is changing by leaps and bounds each season and all that thanks to the TV money that is so well distributed to everyone.

Because of this situation every player and manager in the world will want to come here. And it doesn't have to be at Manchester but any team will do fine.

Who would have thought Stoke getting the players they have gotten?

And whats even worse for other leagues in the coming years, the "small" clubs will continue to raid and poach players from their respective clubs. Because the club will have good enough funds to build a good squad like Stoke is doing. And mark ain't the best manager out there. We will get more younger guys like pochetino coming in to challenge the established order.

So yeah brace yourself because we are in for a fun ride. Just hope that Chelsea appoints a competent manager.

Don't think anyone will dominate points wise like Bayern, PSG, or RM/Barca do where there's enormous separation between them and the other clubs, but I can definitely see domination in terms of titles between those two if we don't appoint the right manager.

We're the only club that can (theoretically) keep up with them financially in this league so I'd say we have the best chance of any PL side to challenge them. Again, assuming we appoint a top man.

One of, if not the saddest part of this situation is that it'll make it seem like he's been desperate for years to take the United job as rumors have suggested since SAF left. That he only came back to Chelsea because he had no real alternatives.

Nonsense. SAF himself wrote in his book that upon speaking to Jose he realized it was useless to invite him to take his place at MU because it was clear he was going to Chelsea.

It's being reported by some reputable outlets that José was in contact with United within 24 hours of us sacking him. That to me sounds like he's absolutely desperate for the job.

Why did he extend his contract then?
You're talking a lot of sense for most of the time, but in this case i think you've got it wrong, but i think we'll never know, so i have to leave it here. :)

Didn't he extend his contract before the season started? At that time he probably genuinely felt like he would be able to build a dynasty here and the board would back him properly.

Yeah but I think we might go the way of Arsenal as Pochettino is talking. All due to the stadium expansion, and we really need it.

We just need a manager that is good enough to work with a smaller budget (Well smaller budget relative to what United can spend as we ain't that poor) and can bring youth. Would love Simeone but he ain't coming so whoever comes hopefully he understand the mission. This should have been known to Mourinho when he first came.

If he really needs big money to win then United would be great for him as they have bigger pockets then us. We need to be more controlled till we finish with our stadium.

That's probably why Pellegeino is being talked about. He'd be a yes man and a puppet that does what he's told without complaint.

Say whatever u want to say, but this is my favoritein interview ever, still love him or hate him he is the biggest Chelsea fan in the world, players fucked up - he fucked up but still he loves this club more than anything probably, and he is the only guy who had balls to say something about Chelsea and refs. For every 5 bad mistakes we have one in our favour. I wanted him badly to stay in Chelsea for 5+ years but shit happens... THE ONLY WAY IS JOSE!

I've made my peace with Mourinho's legacy being dead and buried now in the history books. He won't ever walk into Chelsea again as a manager and so at least we're safe from media speculation when we seek a new manager once the newly appointed departs.

So if Mourinho now chooses to go to United, best of luck, hope he doesn't win shit. At least you know he'll come back with respect and dignity with opposition, even if he does play his inevitable mind games. Hope we beat him whenever we play him.
