Popular Post! Supermonkey92 1,428 Posted December 17, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted December 17, 2015 Well now he's sacked I guess most of the forum will be happy - they've got what they want so my dissapointment shouldn't offend anyone. He was not the main problem. The problem is the bunch of pussy players we have. Sure Mourinho had his favourites. Ivanovic should have been dropped by match 3. Cesc soon after. His role with Eva made things toxic and he didn't seem to be able to handle the pressure. But my gosh, the finger has to be pointed at the players. 'Mourinho can't coach attacking football' I hear people moan. Does that mean he coaches them to forget how to string 3 passes together? Hazards been crap. Oh there's an excuse for that. 'It's Mourinho always making him defend!' Yeh, nothing to do with the gut he came back with. I don't think Jose can be shocked - 9 defeats in 16 is terrible. Good managers have gone for less. But now he's gone, I'm not full of optimism. Its a lose lose situation. The players are so weak minded they play liss poor and nothing changes or they suddenly become good again. Either we have poor players or moaning teenagers who deliberately got the manager fired and put the club in a relegation fight to boot. Either way, the majority should be gone. oldportblue, iseah100, nullabletype and 3 others
DYC. 7,542
although I have been critical especially over the last 6 months I am not celebrating but I do have a great feeling of relief . Time to move on .Agree. Didn't even celebrate Scolari's departure. It's a weird feeling. To me, Mourinho is like that cousin you're not very fond of. But something happens to him and you feel sad. He's still your cousin. But this was inevitable. zolayes
Popular Post! Jase 43,479 Posted December 17, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted December 17, 2015 Feeling pissed off and depressed about this to be honest. It's just painful to take even though Mourinho arguably had to go. iseah100, stroey, Kajo and 7 others

Time to move on .Agree with this. I also think that it is the players' fault as well to an extent (30%) for being in this situation so the board should do the right thing next summer and chop the squad. Appoint a world class manager (Diego Simeone if Pep is not available) and provide him with the right amount of money to rebuild the squad and bring the players he want. We've saved money last summer, hopefully we'll be saving again this winter so money should be no problem next summer.
The Skipper 20,609
cesc, ivan, terry, eden, diago, pedro should all be sold so cfc can have a clean startWho should we replace them with...?
LAM09 7,100
Then we'll probably have been relegated. Our board can be silly sometimes, but they're not sadists..... I think. I wouldn't go that far. I have a feeling Chelsea's hand was force a bit. Could Pep be on his way?

Popular Post! The Skipper 20,609 Posted December 17, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted December 17, 2015 This isn't football manager where the players automatically follow the instructions. Big egos, not so much sportsmanship and teamwork. This was a grudge between the manager and the players, just that the team and the results got in the middle of it. A mistake to let him go but what is done is done. Really curious what will happen next.So you really think the players revolted against Mourinho essentially? What evidence do you have to prove this? This isn't the same as let's say what AVB experienced here. The players seemed very much behind Mourinho IMO. The Skipper 20,609
Solanke, RLC, Baker, Boga, Colkett.Prepare for mid table football at the best for a few years then. We can't replace the likes of Hazard, Cesc and Diego in January with our youth players and expect to remain a very top team, not like this. Time to move on .I feel the same, no celebration for me. Very relief because we have been drag down the mud.And the thought that we can bounce back (hopefully) makes me happy.I do feel sad he's gone for the past achievement, but the past is the past.We don't live from the past, we need to move on and appoint someone that can take us in the right direction. zolayes

Popular Post! Special Juan 28,864 Posted December 17, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted December 17, 2015 Players don't get sacked, managers do.The decision was the right one, forget this longevity thing, it was never going to happen. Whilst he was not fully to blame he was part of the blame, his PC and after match interviews became tiresome, annoying and very predictable. He made himself a target because of his ego, everyone else got the blame from refs to 4th officials, and sometimes he was right but there is also times you need to reign it the fuck in and say things behind closed doors. Thanks for everything Jose, I'm forever grateful, but I'm not sorry you have gone, this club needs to move on so much from you.
