Ollie 4,400
MOTM today by a mile. As much as i detested him at Arsenal, there's no doubting his ability. He's a class footballer with great vision and execution of his passing. Him and Matic could be a perfect fit. I'm so excited about seeing our first choice team with Hazard and Oscar with them. *DROOLING*

Daniel1980 1,425
Very impressive today, even without considering that it was his first game for us. After so many years, it was strange to see him play so deep in the first half. But he did very well as a DLP. Great long balls, and he made some decent tackles, actually. But he played more like the #10 in the second half when he assisted Costa. Stats and bababoom

Popular Post! Barbara 15,149 Posted July 27, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted July 27, 2014 Well, he already proved my choice to make him my fave Chelsea player before he even touched a ball for us to be damn accurate He's playing exactly where I wanted him to and he's doing amazing already without any rhythm, form and chemistry with his team mates. Can you imagine this guy a couple of months from now? #comingundoneI think Matic provided the defensive solidness that afford us to keep Cesc in the pivot. Cesc himself pressed well, even won a side tackle, anticipated a ball or two.Seriously, he has to continue to play like this and improve even more so erase Mourinho's memories of Ramires completely. It doesn't compare at all to have Cesc by Matic side vs Ramires. It's a world apart in terms of quality.I hope to see him as #10 in a few times - just to Marco van Ginkel can have some match time and continue his development. Also the team played MUCH better when we moved to a 4-3-3. I hope Mourinho felt it too. This squad is begging for that formation. Take Torres off for Schürrle or Willian in the right and Hazard for Salah in the left, and Oscar for Marco in the midfield and it's orgasmic stuff. We could also go with Matic - Marco - Cesc (Cesc as the most advanced) and it's still upper class. OneMoSalah 8,886
Was delighted to see him play next to Matic, I was worried in case Mourinho was going to stick him in the #10 position like he did with Modric at Madrid sometimes. Not to get carried away as it was very weak opposition but you can just tell hes going to make us so much better, excellent range of passing, vision, he even got stuck in as well despite fears of him being too lightweight to play in the pivot. Great work by Jose, solving an issue we've had in midfield for years. The Skipper and Barbara

BleedsBlue 1,549
Playing him deep will give us that extra bit of creativity(provided that Oscar performs consistently) and at the same time gives us the luxury of having two world class options for the number 10 role. We switched to a 4-3-3 with Matic as the holding midfielder and MvG and Cesc as the box to box midfielders. Barbara

Should have decent hair again by the start of the season. Thank fuck. mannyfreshh, The Chels and kellzfresh

I wonder why he got it in the first place. I don't think it was exactly his idea. iseah100, bababoom, Daniel1980 and 1 other
