With the discussion of 3 at the back it could be a perfect opportunity for Conte to find a place for cesc. He clearly isnt a conte type but neither is pirlo and look what he did with conte. I dreamed about fabregas playing in that role when Conte was announced.

I think willian could be a spectacular wing back or b2b with his skill and speed. Kante and azpi are more than adequate to help cover willian, oscar gives a little more attack/work rate to play with alonso I highly doubt this would ever got played but its a dream lineup just to see how it would work.

Based on Fabregas tweets above and in previous pages, I'm inclined to think that this bit of news should go straight to the dustbin.

I hope he can cement his place in the starting XI soon, we need technical players in midfield going forward. Look at City or at all the other top teams. Yes he has shortcomings when it comes to defending, but with Kante we can compensate them. It's just sad seeing a player as limited and one-dimensional as Matic playing as advanced midfielder when we have one of the best passers in the game sitting on the bench for 75 minutes per game. We should look to keep Fabregas and play him with Kante and Oscar/Matic in midfield until summer when we should by someone like Nainggolan or Veratti.

Im all for promoting youth, but ones either good enough or with clear potential to be, Nat falls into neither category.

If we are going down the route of playing not good enough youngsters then we might aswell recall Kalas, Bamford, Hector and Atsu and accept a status as lower PL/ upper championship team.

Yup, pretty much it. Chalobah had the potential of becoming a starter a few years ago, for various reasons he was never able to/given the chance to take the necessary steps. If it's gonna happen at some point in the future it's gonna be a loooooong process, no need to play club-trained players for the sake of it though.

He really does not deserve to sit on the bench,especially because the reason he does not play is Oscar.According to many users here,he does not play because Oscar is a pressing machine and wins a lot of tackles,but we still concede so many goals. I would rather have Cesc,who actually can play good passes,world class passes and he dictates the tempo of our play so well. If Conte does not play him in the next few matches as a starter,then we are seriously in trouble

Conte makes terrible substitutions with horrible timing. He also clearly has an issue with Fabregas.

He is not fast,but he actually runs a lot . He has qualities we need in our starting line up.That is why Mourinho brought him here because he saw  that there was zero creativity on our starting eleven. Without him,we have the same problem we had in 2014 and that was that we did not create enough chances.

Glad his PR team is out in full force again and always providing a message for the fans. How could i survive the day without it, don't know. Looks so false to me...Fabregas (others too) cost Chelsea so many games in the past, the first few months were outstanding then never the same. Don't get me even started on last season. I really appreciate Conte's approach to remove the Gooner blood from the team. Nothing personal, but enough is enough.

Don't really see the problem with so called 'Gooner blood'....we've had plenty of it with before with Ashley Cole and Anelka. Didn't fare too bad....I'm having more issues with the so called 'blue blood' that's out there playing right now.

The problem with Fabregas isn't only that he can't run; as stated above matic is slow too. However, Fabregas is slow and weak, and can't tackle, and can't win aerial duels, and has little work rate and tires easily, and on occasion, lacks concentration. Reminds me a lot of Mata.

It is quite evident that Fabregas' deficiencies lie in mental and physical areas, not technical. It's the manager's prerogative to be willing to deal with a player of such characteristics or not. He may change his mind or not, but I personally don't feel not playing fabregas is something crazy.

I really like his professionalism and would really be sad if he leaves. I hope that he'll get back into the starting XI after Zouma's fit and Alonso acclimated to the defense (if it will happen at all). I definitely understand why Conte picks Matic and Oscar for the time being, since Cahill is a donkey.
