zolayes 14,489
It feels like the board force Mou to resign as thay can't sack him as he has just renew his contract. or is Jose forcing the board to sack him after getting his contract renewed ????
Clockwork 1,794
I don't know how long Mou and Chelsea relationship will last but it will always be a mutual separation.... Well officially at least, both parties would want to avoid sacking.
Gilvorak 3,734
The board aren't the ones that got rid of De Bruyne, Mata, Luiz & Filipe Luis. They are the ones that signed Hazard, Oscar, De Bruyne & Courtois though. The Djilobodji signing caught everyone off guard but it's obviously a stop-gap signing in preparation for John Stones' eventual arrival. Duppy Conqueror 1,543
the 3 CB`s we let go on loan have more international caps than the 2 we bought..even tho they are younger, play for nations with better competition of talent and no longer would command a transfer fee..oh and 2 of them can play RB too. (even if you go 2 v 2..the young players we loaned out have more)the biggest gripe I have is that we should have wrapped up deals for players to improve our defense early into the transfer window and held onto atleast Kalas and Kenny O until they were brought in or kept them around where now they would be more useful to us than what we got in that department ( CB and RB) it remains to be seen how good Baba will be..our season kinda depends on if Jose will finally drop Branislav and that Baba can hit the ground running at LB with Azpi at RB but even if that happens a longterm injury to either would leave us in trouble.the midfield I would have switched things around a little but including getting Pedro and Kenedy and giving RLC and our other youth still with us atleast a chance of some game time. I`m not too bothered about our midfield because I think those currently out of form will regain it in that department and we will have improved there overall with the additions and Oscar when he returns to the team.back up Goalkeeper we got pretty much the best that was available and an adequate number 2 that when we have to rely on him, won`t cost us games on his own.like the keepers I think upfront remains our least area of concern along with Azpi. not in top form but showed that when given a chance they are not woefully out of form like our midfield and defense.the board hasn`t done great but I think their performance is better than Jose and our veteran team so far this season. zolayes and Sir Mikel OBE
OneMoSalah 8,886
Doesn't matter if it was Jose or the board but it was a pretty disastrous window in comparison to City and United in particular. Sure United have spend their money oddly but gradually improved and so have City. We got Pedro fine but we still lack in the CM department and also CB and still don't feel Baba is gonna be the LB that is a long term option unfortunately. Oscar 441
City>Chelsea>Arsenal>UnitedTalent wiseLast season,City>Chelsea>Arsenal>UnitedUnited still is 4th in terms of talent level. Haven't improved as much as people think ( I think they suck). Scoring 2 goals in 4 games. iceboy
Iggy Doonican 4,186
How can you go from potentially breaking the British transfer record for a defender to buying someone who plays for Reading it's just utterly bizarre. Hindsight is fine but surely the board must have known that after the first bid Everton were not going to budge. And we have to concede that if Man City were in for Stones it would be name your price we'll pay it. Lets be honest we don't come out well in the Stones saga. Everton obviously rate him and 20 million quid was peanuts to what they and remember there the selling club think he's worth in the current market. When John Terry was first establishing himself with the first team and had played a couple of times for England if Man United had come in with a two million bid for him what would we have said. This was before Roman and J,T. was probably our only saleable asset. Lamps wasn't established Eidur would have made a decent profit if we sold him but J.T. on the cheap in 2002-3 and Stones now well like it or not Everton and there fans think 20 million quid is cheap and when Sterling goes for 50 million who can blame them. iceboy and Essien19
Sir Mikel OBE 4,920
Thats insane. I also legitimately have never heard of Angban on that list. We have a player I have never even heard of period on loan.

The Skipper 20,609
The only thing I can think of is perhaps that the board are saving the money for next year. Maybe we'll get Pogba and Stones then. Blue-in-me-Veins

Sir Mikel OBE 4,920
People go on and on about Vitesse being our loaning ground, but we have almost as many at Sint-truiden. HRiver 1,512
One of the most shambolic windows I can remember. Who even are these players? What's the point in all these loans? This could prove to be a disastrous season.
Fernando 6,585
Well after hearing about the marquino bid then this is clearly a panic situation. Lack of options and we did exactly like we did two seasons ago. Waste our time in shenanigans like Rooney and up getting poor options. Now the same repeat scenario after stones. Ridiculous to the highest degree.
