Question - Why can't our game against Leicester be played this weekend as we are both not in the FA Cup? If United win on Monday it means the Semi-Final will be played the weekend we are due to play them, obviously meaning our game will be postponed. Then we will have TWO games in hand with about 4 weeks of the season remaining!! Not such a sensible decision yet again from the F.A.

If United do beat Arsenal, then there's a chance that we might actually play United in the last week of the season instead, like how City played Villa in their second last game last season. Have checked the schedule and there isn't much space to fit that fixture in with all the Champions League ties going on, unless they bring the match forward and play it earlier. We have 2-3 free midweeks coming up.

Obviously QPR vs Spuds deserves its own weekend, promises to be an absolute cracking blockbuster at the home of world football.

Haven't been this excited for a match since 2012 UCL final, personally gutted that i won't be able to make it.

We did well to even challenge for the title to be fair as our squad , as I have been saying all along, was no where near good enough and massively overrated. The quality of our football, lack of youth transition into the first team and Jose's antics were my main issue with the season. while we weren't good enough to finish above city, I thought we should have done much better in terms of transitioning.

at the current pace of development, next season will be yet another transitional season as I expect to see plenty of deadwood shifting, player acquisition and hopefully youth integration and implementation of a new philosophy.

So 2016/17 season is when the manager will have absolutely no excuse to not win the league.

Looks like we're ahead of schedule!

Looking at the fixtures ahead, I'd be happy to take 7 points from Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool. Will be content with 6.

Let's see what happens with the next four games first. The results will affect our mindset heading into those matches.

Yeah same but I think we can easily take all 9. All of those games are home games aren't they?

Nope. The Arsenal game is at the Emirates. The other two are at home.

I thought we played them at the Emirates? Anyway we need to get 9 points I feel from those 3 games, any dropped points gives City a potential chance.

Errr, no. We played them at the Bridge back in October (IIRC). We won 2-0, with Hazard and Costa scoring. Remember???

Whether we need 9 points from those 3 games will depend on what happen in the four games before that.

We have Southampton (H), Hull (A), Stoke (H) and QPR (A). City have Burnley (A), West Brom (H), Palace (A) and United (A).

Aye I ken who scored just thought it was at Emirates lol. Anyway regarding City, we shouldn't worry about them and just win every game we can, City are chasing and like they did last year when we were second, we should just focus on beating whats put out in front of us week in week out.

City's next 4 games are definitely tougher than ours. We can get all 12 points and build momentum for the final more difficult act.

Uh?

we have Saints, Hull, Stoke and QPR - apart from Hull none of the others are 'gimmes'

Whereas City have

Burnley, WBA, Palace and United - I'd say easier fixtures except UTD

Southampton was a tough game this season, Stoke will be a bruiser too and QPR is always more ridiculous as a Derby match..

If we can get 10 points out of those fixtures - I will be happy, I just hope UTD have the performance of their lives and beat City - so they only take 9 points...

We have Saints at home which is tough indeed. Hull away is relatively easy and last time we beat Stoke 3-0 at home I'm not worried about them that much. QPR are abysmal lately, but whatever, you can count that as a tough one because it's a derby and they are fighting for points although in current form I wouldn't be worried about them too.

Now City: Burnley away IS a tough one for them imo. Burnley can cause them problems (more than Hull to us), they even got a draw after losing 2-0 away at the Etihad. WBA of Tony Pulis is not a team you want to face when you need points (on par with Stoke at home). Palace away is always difficult to play more than QPR are normally. United away obviously tougher than Saints at home. Let me remind you that United haven't done badly vs top sides this season in the league.
