Santiago. 1,500
You see, buying a player like Benat, a true holding midfielder, would be beneficial for our transition and holding the ball, but the problem with that, is that kind of business would actually make sense, and obviously our board isn't going with that

Miracle 249
Roman finally employs a manager he can't sack. Only he turns out to be the most inept manager of them all. You've just got to find that a bit bloody ironic.
Atwa 78
Not too bummed about the result, shame on the missed pen but they were better.Cech MOTM for me, managed to hold us in it longer than we had any right

But who exactly on 'the board' would you like to see out?Did you lot actually expect us to turn CIty over? As bad as they have been they have world class players in nearly most positions on the field where we have maybe 2, 3 or 4 world class players. Also Rafas getting all this blame, really? WHERE THE FUCK WAS THE FIGHTING SPIRIT TODAY EH????? Most of the team were shite, Lampards penalty was the turning point, Mikel should of tackled Toure imo. Not blaming them but there was no spirit or passion. Subs were a bit odd but still I blame the players more than Rafa, how many looked like they gave a fuck?City were beatable today. They've been beatable for a while and were missing Kompany. Anyone who thinks we were beaten by a team who were that much better really needs to have their eyes tested. It might be simplistic but at key points, their midfield stepped up and our's didn't. But we still could've won that game.
YouNameIt 1,511
I was honestly expecing a draw, untill i saw the lineup.Mikel, lampard and ramires on at the same time.No Moses.Luiz+Cahill+IvaNothing unexpected. At least I won some money..

We would maybe of got a draw today, I think thats what Rafa wanted tbh. Don't think we'd have beaten them.

FabHazard 655
IMO ramires has got horrible first touch!!He is very poor. All he got is pace but that cannot compensate his terrible touches.Mikel and lampard are not good enough.Yaya toure is pure quality and he is world class!!He completely bullied our midfield. In summer our top priority must be CMs
Shaan 263
I am starting to agree with backstreet ... no good attacking players or forwards will ever thrive in our team unless we get rid of the Mr statue mikel and start using lamps and rambo as squad players and get real dynamic ball playing midfielders who can support both the frontline and the defence..... Our true problems have been in the central midfield role for almost going on 2 years now, Mikel + Lampard won us the CL, so why even consider buying a possession minded player and lets get rid of dead weight Miereles and Essien while were at it? Jase 43,479
Wasn't expecting to get anything from the game but least I, or rather all of us, expect is showing fight, desire and determination in the game, win, lose or draw. Saw none of that today whatsoever. It was a gutless, spineless and soulles performance from the start to finish. Almost everyone in the team was just going through the motions and hope(HOPE!) for something to happen rather than trying to make things happen. It's an absolute disgrace. Even Arsenal and Liverpool showed more spirit and guts than us here against Man City at the Etihad. Embarrassing!
Hutcho 8,443
@, Well we didn't smash......(in the end we did lose by 2 goals)Yep we didn't and we were shit. We didn't deserve to win it and we wern't helped by the awful management. We are gonna need to get a run going to get top 4. At leasr tottenham and arsenal theoretically have a tougher schedule than us.
Weckerz 3,781
Can anyone explain the reasoning behind playing Ramires on the right?
Hutcho 8,443
Rafa didn't exactly sound great in the pre game interview. He said:If we win, we are in a race for top 4, and if we lose we are in a race for top 4...So according to rafa it doesn't matter either way. We were shit, but i suppose at least it was city we lost to as opposed to some lower league team, as those games will become must win games. The only place to be 11,313
Can anyone explain the reasoning behind playing Ramires on the right?Provide cover for Ivanovic, run all day, try and hit Man City on the fast break.
Hutcho 8,443
Can anyone explain the reasoning behind playing Ramires on the right? The reasoning, is because he has great stamina, he can support the right back and then get up front fast and patrol the right hand side offering both defensive and offensive cover. But clearly Rafa hasn't seen many chelsea games as every chelsea fan knows that rambo on the right is like having bertrand on the left wing... IT DOESN'T WORK!
