Why do we play Lampard as a central midfielder ? He clearly doesn't have the legs to defend , we should try him as our No.10 and play Mata with Ramires , he will dictate and control the match much better and effectively . What we clearly are missing so far.

Mata in the pivot? That would completely nullify Mata's usefulness to the team.

Let's put Torres in the pivot!

Argh, argh, argh :-)

great thinking... a person who can barely tackle in the double pivot plus he would have to fall back continously rather than be the only player who can make a difference for us in the last 3rd specially. and with the amount of time mata has played i would expect him to fall down to the ground at half time..

Found this on twitter. Sigh, we can have 2 teams from the player we have sent on loan.

So? Besides Lukaku and Courtois, nobody is ready to play for us week and week out. Better for them to be on loans...

Yet, even with that, most of our fans want to see us sign multiple players...

and the sad part is that none of these lads ever get a chance to play for us in the first team and all their talent and potential is wasted! and then ppl criticise us for failing to produce good talent when they fail to see that we produce this talent YET DON'T GIVE THEM CHANCES!

Some could argue that De Bruyne is already good enough too. And obviously Essien would be a great player to have right now with Ramires and Lampard as our only options in midfield. The Bison may not be the player he was in his prime but he could still do the job better than someone who has been playing two or three games a week for months now.

KDB definitely is... He would probably be able to get straight into our first team in the pivot alongside a DM. Obviously Essien can play for us week in week out. Josh could be useful for depth, although not week in week out as yet. We don't need multiple signings if we racall Essien and/or KDB for the pivot but we are extremely short there if we don't sign someone or recall them. The rest may not be fully ready yet but many of them will be in the future.

The loan thing is overblown. All of those players needed game time that they simply weren't expected to get at Chelsea.

The only exception is Essien, but people need to put his situation in context. In three of the last four seasons, he's played 19, 21 and 19 games and his form has also been way below what it was around 2008. It just didn't look like he was going to contribute much this season, and certainly not at a level that he was being paid at so it made financial sense to give him a change of surroundings in the hopes of making him able to contribute next season or sellable.

For me, De Bruyne is the guy we should've brought back this month but he's an important member of Bremen's first team so it would probably be best for his own development to stay there.
